TrafficJunky is a scam platform

For those who don't know, TrafficJunky is the advertising platform that serves ads for big porn tube sites like Pornhub.

Do not, under any circumstances, waste your money on this platform. It's a scam. They have a few cash cow advertisers with massive advertising budgets who have already figured out which ad positions and keywords are profitable and they are not willing to share.

TrafficJunky is actively protecting their profitable ad inventory for these huge advertisers and they will reject your campaign if you try to tread on profitable ad positions and/or keywords. If you create a campaign and they accept it, it's only because the ad positions and/or keywords you are trying to advertise on are known to not be profitable.

If you try to start a campaign targeting profitable ad positions and/or keywords, they will either reject your campaign or block you from being able to select sources (websites) during the last step of the campaign creation process. If you ask for support, they will reply by email telling you that you have to figure out on your own why your campaign is being rejected or is unable to be created in full. If you push it further, they will place your account under investigation and find a way to claim that you have breached their terms of service. At this point your account will be permanently suspended.

TrafficJunky exists solely to serve the few cash cow advertisers who currently have such massive budgets that they can buy all of their profitable ad inventory. They only allow smaller advertisers to use their platform in an effort to monetize their remaining unprofitable advertising space that their current advertisers don't want.

You've been warned. Take your adult marketing budget elsewhere.

Accommodating and protecting aren't the same thing. What they're doing is a scam. They're selling garbage, which is the same as stealing.

Well, I would say, that in reality, all companies usually operate this way nowadays. If you own a company and you have a set of loyal clients who have been your "cash cows" for a long time, would you not favor them and keep most or all the goodies for them ? There are cartels everywhere in all types of industries and businesses nowadays.
We need to accept this reality and once that is done, what we need to realize and understand is that nowadays the name of the game is how can one circumvent these cartels in order to do business and this is where success is nowadays in doing almost any type of business. It is survival of the fittest, nowadays, especially in internet marketing, just like in the jungles, it is the lions that rule & decide. But, through creativity one can keep evading the lions and keep moving forward.

I realize that. But now that I know TrafficJunky is scamming their smaller advertisers, I wanted to make sure others don't get scammed too.

Their audience has one hand on the mouse, the other on the D.

You gotta give them a break.

Not easy converting one-handed traffic.

They have traffic that converts like crazy and they have it in huge volumes. They just won't sell it to you.

It is not a scam. When they suspend an account, any unused balance is always refunded back to the payment source.
Amounts already spent on advertising obviously cannot be refunded, as they are not responsible for the advertiser's conversions & ROI.
In reality it cannot be called a scam, but could be seen as unfair practice OR perhaps you would have been unable to create effective campaigns, and unable to realize that your campaigns were not created to be effective enough and hence out of frustration of having spent money on campaigns that were not created effectively, you may be feeling that they are favoring a certain group of advertisers only. I'm playing the devil's advocate and seeing things from all the possible angles.

Deceptively telling people they have open access to their whole ad inventory and then secretly allowing people to only buy the traffic that they know for a fact will not convert is a scam. They're selling worthless traffic while telling you it has value. That's a scam.

I don't agree TJ is a scam network, you can't call it a scam.

As others have mentioned in the thread, most companies will put most of their attention on the top 20% of their sales/customers as that's where 80% of their income comes from. The classic 80/20 rule.

As you drill down and get more specific in your targeting you will find higher ROI campaigns, and yes the veterans are usually already all over these placements... HOWEVER, if they reject new advertisers from trying to create new campaigns on these placements, they miss out on making higher revenue for themselves from bidding wars.

The veterans would have to increase their bids or the new guys increase theirs in order to compete for traffic share, and this means more money for TJ.

Sometimes you can get questionable things approved by one reviewer on one day.... but then those same creatives get rejected on another day by a more experienced reviewer. This could be a reason for it seeming like they are rejecting some campaigns and approving others.

I'd ask for an account manager that you can communicate with via Skype on a daily basis. Their 24/7 website chat support aren't proper account managers, probably some outsourced VA network that can only assist with basic things.

Whether you agree or not is irrelevant. I'm stating facts here, not opinions. They will not sell you profitable traffic. They'll gladly let you get into a bidding war with other small advertisers for unprofitable traffic, but their profitable ad inventory is off limits to you.

You can justify their scam any way you want, but it's a scam.

If you don't agree then go spend your money there. Come back and tell us how well you did.

You're not helping. You're encouraging people to take their hard earned money and flush it down the toilet on a known scam.

I don't care if you managed to squeeze a few dollars out of their unwanted traffic. What I care about are the people who will come along, convinced that they're playing on a level playing field, and waste thousands of dollars trying to find the highly profitable traffic. Traffic that they are never going to find because it's not available to them.

It sucks that you had a bad experience with TJ, but you're encouraging newbies to stay away from the best adult traffic network for newbies to get started.

You're throwing around accusations probably based on a misunderstanding.

So far you've shown no proof that you're being rejected on "profitable placements"

Setup a campaign with known compliance friendly, approved creatives on the "unprofitable" placements/targeting then clone the campaign using the exact same Creatives, LPs, Offer page that's already been approved and change the targeting to the "profitable" targeting and see if it gets rejected.

If TJ didn't want you bidding on certain placements, you wouldn't even see it available for targeting on your account.

Just like half their inventory is reserved for flat rate buyers, and the other half open for bidding. Flat rate typically is where these "cash cow advertisers" are... not on the bidding side.

This is why we build our website/ apps to get our own traffic. Buying traffic is just short term and not a long term venture. The way that i look at this is this, even the so call cash cow advertiser will be having a hard time trying to turn in a profit. Nowadays traffic purchase cost are way too high.

Anyone reading this thread who listens to this person's advice will regret it. I guarantee I have spent way more money at TrafficJunky than this person has. I also know for a fact that the big advertisers have 100% claim to all of the highly profitable traffic on TrafficJunky. Smaller advertisers are never allowed to have any of it. I can't prove how I know this because it compromises the person who told me. You can choose who to believe.

I will not argue with this person any more, but know that I have made this thread with the sole purpose of trying to save you from wasting your money. He's selling a course in his signature about making profits with paid adult traffic and I can only assume that TrafficJunky must be one of the traffic sources he tries to encourage you to use in his course. Absolutely nobody who is "crushing" a paid traffic source is going to show you how to compete with them. He's selling a course because selling his course is more profitable than trying to leverage this scam of a traffic source, otherwise he would be monetizing the traffic himself and keeping his mouth shut.

There is no highly profitable traffic available to you on TrafficJunky. None. I encourage you to try other traffic sources.

This is happening to almost all traffic sources. Most traffic sources have conflicts of interest by running their own CPA networks or running direct advertiser offer. It better to spend the money building your own traffic sources via mobile apps, niche website like name generator, social media,etc. So I have to agree with you from a business point of view that such favoritism does occurs.
