Anyone know anything about thetrafficthiefDOTcom by Mitch Sanders? From the sales page and promo videos it looks like and interesting variation of back linking with videos vs. text websites/blogging/etc.

Is it worth the $497 they are asking?

The main part of his system for making videos is a script where you upload photos to make slideshow videos.

I think he called the script traffic cracker. It worked pretty much the same way as a script that was sold on the warrior forum a while back. Piggy backed off an API for a company that gave you a key for 'testing' purposes that later shut down the warrior forum guy when they found out he was selling commercial licenses to use an API that was in beta authorised for non-commercial use only.

The warrior forum guy got shut down, but I don't know about Mitch. There is a link to a verhy similar (maybe the same) script here on bhw that has a download link for proshow gold. If you can find that thread, you'll basically have the same script. I just checked to see if the old open link for traffic cracker was still there, it is not, it's not behind a membership plugin, so unfortunately no free link anymore. Looks like they're running on fusionHQ instead of whatever it is they used to use.

The modules were pretty normal, do keyword research, build up topics for your videos and then do the same thing as Mike Koenigs teaches in his 4x4xwhatever method. Find out the most frequently asked questions in your niche, build videos around that.

His method for building the videos was to make a good main video with pictures and a voiceover. The voiceover was a computer voice (a decent one) that read the text you put in the boxes to go along with the slides of pictures.

Take that video, upload it to youtube, include keywords in the title and description, but not in the tags, as tags are what youtube uses to figure out what other videos to featuer along side yours and you only really want it to show unrelated videos. The idea being that a potential customer is more likely to click on your link at the beginning of the description if there are no other interesting videos on the side to watch on the same topic.

After your video is uploaded to youtube, take the same video to tubemogul, blast it out to all the sites you can, but change the link in the description to point straight to your original youtube video.

Do the same for all the 10 top frequently asked questions turned into videos.

Ping them all, backlink them a bit if you want, but after you've done that, wait a week and then convert the videos to a different format and repeat the process. By the end of it you have hundreds of videos all on a tightly focused group of keywords that point to your youtube video, pushing it up the ranks.

Once you get the hang of it, and you can generate the lists and find a good place for free photos (he used to just grab them from google image search, without looking for reuse rights) you just give thoses lists to an outsourcer and have them go hard at making videos for you over and over again every day until you completely dominate your niche.

I do a bit of amazon stuff and I thought I'd try the method but without the corny computer voiceover and cheap videos. I also prefer metacafe to youtube for getting on the front page, don't ask why, it just works.

I'm happy to give away an example of this because I sold a bunch of these already, even though I messed up on the links.

Google 'braun bodycruzer body groomer' (without quotes) and depending on the google gods you might see three videos. The youtube one isn't mine, but the metacafe and clipmoon ones are mine. They're on a test account that I used to play around with the idea of pointing all video sites at one of the others.

Amazon and Braun are numbers 1 and 2, I'm number 3 with metacafe, although for some reason the thumbnail isn't showing.

The thumbnail for that clip got crazy click throughs and I got over 10k views to metacafe overnight because the thumbnail shows a dude who just shaved with two chicks.

    Does the method work?

Guess so, I think I made $150 in commissions for that bodycruzer that week.

Things to note though about his training. A lot of those sites don't have clickable links in their descriptions anymore. So the links will be just plain text, which people can still copy and paste, but you won't get anywhere near the click throughs.

Where I messed up on that original test run was being cheap at the time and trying to have the description go to a blogspot blog. Metacafe doesn't allow links to blogger blogs because they're free and easily spammed.

Don't do much video marketing anymore as I prefer to work with local clients for faster pay days, though I do include video marketing for some of them.

But yeah, that's basically the method, make a slideshow video, upload to youtube, change description and upload to everywhere else with a link to your youtube video.

Then if you have traffic geyser, implement there as well.

That's most of what I remember.

    Hope that helps.

If you're into videos, the method still has MANY of my other videos ranked number 2 and 3. Not many number 1s, but the clickthrough of videos is still awesome with a thumbnail.

Tubemogul has gotten a bit anti-commercial stuff these days apparently, so you might want to try pixelpipe instead?

    No worries.

Fwiw the guy Mitch was pretty good at answering questions when this launched a while back. He'd just moved over to asia somewhere (can't remember) to become the head of Greg Jacobs (WP Mage) team and manage affiliates.

He was getting mentored at the same time and this was his first real product.

I haven't kept in touch with Mitch, but he does video blog a lot on youtube, so you can find out what he's up to lately by checking around there. If you need help finding him he did a lot of different 30 day challenges for various diets and put videos up each day about his results. Thorough guy, sees things through.

Greg Jacobs is a member here and might be able to get you in touch. I haven't seen him post since the original launch of his mage products though I suspect he is still around. Nice guy.

I came across this a long time ago. He gives useful info but the thing which put me off was when I checked on site explorer, there was a similar video which he has copied I believe.

    Hey hochelaga,

If you are seeing this, was wondering how long it takes to make money with this? I mean, I Urgently need to make $600 in 5 days and was wondering if this would work??? Also, if not, what Other methods are possible to adopt to make that money?

    Thanks in advance.

Apologies for not subscribing to the thread and getting back you sooner but fwiw we made sales on the bodycruzer the next day. The thumbnail was the secret to getting huge views though.
