Hello,
my organic traffic dropped in spite of uploading new content weekly(1-2 articles per week). Also, my rankings struggle too.
Is it normal for traffic to drop like these months (December, January)?
My website is a B2B niche.
Which white hat SEO tactic should I use?

You should give us some additional info. Website age? What changed in the last weeks? Any marketing efforts?

The website is active since 2019 but has only 40 articles. We are trying to rank our keywords using link building, social media, outreach. To be honest the organic traffic dropped after the google algorithm update about spammy links cause we had normal traffic before that.

Then check your link profile and see if you overdid low quality backlinks. Get some powerful guest posts or niche edits to counter the low quality backlinks. But before doing so, give the website at least 2-3 weeks of traffic decrease to make sure it isn.t a dance.

My backlinks usually have a minimum 50 dr and a traffic minimum 10K. I usually buy them from adsy, purchased an SEO service from SarkarSEO and literally doing forum link building or free guest posting websites. I don't think that this is the real problem

Perfectly normal in December and beginning of January for B2B. If you checked out some of the IM journeys here that focus on B2B, you would notice the same pattern for everyone.

The second half of December is reserved for holidays, some planning, looking back at the year and such things.
Do not worry. Things will start going back to normal this week.

Thank you very much! I hope everything goes well to :(

There can be chances because if Google Product update was completely rolled out in the last week of December. Moreover, there were so many other website that has also faced the same issues with ranking and organic traffic dropping down. Along with this you can also check for the backlink, if you have created backlinks on website that has high spam score so there can be high number of chances too.

For White Hat SEO techniques you can follow -

1- Update the On-page like (Title, and Meta)
2- You can also check for the new set of keywords for some improvement

It's not that strange in this part of the year and if you update content regularly then that also can be a reason for ranking shifting. Check-in Search Console if everything is okay and if you don't have any reported issues, as if this isn't the case, just wait for holidays to end and you will start getting more traffic for sure.

Yes, we update content regularly because it needs some improvements time to time

Kinda in a similar situation (not B2B but holidays are bad for me).
December is the worst month for me and traffic/rankings tend to recover by mid January when people get back from holidays.
One thing I learnt... ignore this period as it's normal but search engines don't have holidays so keep on working.

It's the effect of the last google update, have patience it's happening with everyone, as John Mueller said, take some rest, focus on the SEO strategies, don't overdo it right now, the update is for the long term after some time try linking on authority website with quality links, Use HARO, I found it useful, no spam, pure and high-quality link.

Good quality pbns can boost your rankings. It can be hard to find a good seller though.

Personally, I practice high backlink research
