I have been using it for Alexa and it is effective. To start, you only need a couple of fresh proxies. You can also put a ref URL in it so that it counts from where it came from. I only used the big G, and it really worked on my awstats. They were considered unique visitors in Google.
For proxies, use accessdiver. I also added more proxy sites because that way, I can leech IPs from them.
