I bought a domain from domain.com and set up forwarding to a different domain where wordress website is installed. I want to know where the chicks are coming from but all I can see is the domain which is forwarding. is there a way to track what;s the original place where the click was made?

you mean 2 important trackers?? Well, GA is the most popular one, but like I said, Matomo and Clicky are also good alternatives (Matomo is free, while Clicky is both free and paid). But there are way more trackers out there, just run a google search and you'll see them
