Hey guys,
So I've been a lurker on this website for some time, but I figured I would try and contribute a bit... actually I really just need something and figured maybe one of you brilliant minds might know what's up.

I have a website that I've been attempting to get off the ground for a couple months now. I started doing backlinks and such and different seo methods myself that all proved pretty promising.

I was on page one for my keywords for about three months.

I was pretty impressed with myself but as of this tuesday I'm not even ranked anymore.

I've tried researching to see what happened.

I'm not banned by google (not that I know of anyway, I never got a letter or anything saying I was violating any rules)

So I'm not sure what the heck happened. Do you guys have any ideas? And or any solutions that may help me solve the puzzle of what I did wrong?

You don't always receive a message in Google Webmaster Tools when you get hit by one of their filters or penalties. For example, I launched a blog quite some time ago and threw a lot of crap content on it. It ranked on page 1 for three different keywords that I was targetting for about 3 months. The bounce rate was very high though and the average time on site was very low, because the content sucked. One day the site just dropped out of the SERPs. It was still indexed but not ranking any more. I never got a message in GWT but I assume this was just Panda. It can take Google a while to realist your content is duplicate and/or unreadable but when they do notice you will tank. Adding more content, this time quality, may well have fixed it. I didn't need the site any more so it wasn't a problem.

So if you are sure your backlink profile is natural you may want to look at the quality of your content and check what your bounce rate is.

Having said that, if you have only lost rankings for a few days you may not have a real problem and may reappear at the same position soon anyway. That happens all the time.

Hope that helps.

youre definitely a huge noob, u need to rethink your whole strategy

Wait and see what's happens with your site in the serps, in the meantime start building your second website.
