Top SEO Trends in 2017

This post is totally useless. Most of the points you mentioned are already known by most of us and are already here for quite some time now.

Backlinks will take a back seat => Please go read more guru stuff.
Amazon will overshadow Google for product search => Amazon already does that;
User experience will stay important => UI has always been the primary concern of such big businesses;
Image optimization will be essential => It is already essential. Can you imagine a website with images big as 5mb each?
HTTPS will acquire more prominence => It is already important since browsers are noticing the users they browse an unsecured website.
(want me to take on to all of your points?)

Could you stop promoting your website and raise your post count with multiple posts and learn instead to multi-quote posts?

Hi

I appreciate your valuable feedback and consideration on my post.

Thank you and have a great day my friend :)

Don't mean to bust your balls, but we get a lot of people posting trends around here and 99% of the time it's just their raw human guesstimates of what seems to be going on. Point being, since you're brand new and we don't know you, we have no way of knowing how reliable your opinion is yet. If you want my advice, you're best off building a reputation here by answering people's questions in various threads. Creating a guru thread on your second day looks suspicious if I'm being honest. Just my 2 cents.

Hello ThopHay:

No worries at all, I can understand and appreciate your concern.

Many thanks for thinking of me.

Cheers.

I really appreciated this post - since I am a real newbie on SEO and I'm studying and researching/learning with some experts (the ones who share their honest knowledge) - because I could check if what I'm working on my websites or when working with a company it was right or in a good way at least. Maybe the Author could improve the title of the post or let clearly in the text that it is for beginners (cause we have a lot of experts here and all of them are thirsty for success as we all are too), so we have to respect them and their knowledge for sure.
But, again, for me - newbie - the post was great! Thank you

I have been all eyes and ears for you, and here's what I brought back — the top 5 SEO trends for 2017 as seen by me
1 Google's AMP — just another fad or the future of mobile?
2 301 redirects can prevent your pages from passing topical relevance
3 HTTPS is eating up your referral data. Any ways to fix that?
4 Still building citations for your local business? It might be just the time to stop!
5 Optimizing for voice search — your chase for featured answers

Wondering which trends will remain and which drop off. What do you guys think?
