No matter how many tools you have, you cannot automate ranking with them. Automation is just a supplement, first you need to workout on your own. Get the point.

Like some people have mentioned in this post, first UNDERSTAND what you're doing. That's the hardest part. Everything else is pretty easy. Here's a quick guide:

Step 1: Learn all the different SEO strategies. Tiered, pyramid etc

Step 2: Get a VPS pre-loaded with all the SEO tools that have been mentioned in this thread

Step 3: Play around with the tools, but DO NOT point the links to target/money sites. Point them to a test site.

Step 4: Implement the strategies you learnt in Step 1 with the tools of your choice.

With these 4 steps, you will be on the road to becoming an SEO expert :)

I am mainly using scrapebox and tested the others or using some friends account. As mentionned before just find a tool you feel good with and get acclimated with it there is an endless possibilities with all of thoses tools you just have to figure it out.
 
My top 5m tips are:

1. Find a person that is supposed to be good at seo
2. ask to see some of their work
3. Have them run one good campaign for you
4. check to make sure that the traffic was worthwhile, (more sales, more leads, whatever your main metric for success is)
5. Pay them well and expand your campaigns.
