I work monday to friday. The work is fine but the coworkers are toxic. On the weekend I try to work on IM but i feel so tired and stressed out from the week I cant work anymore. Maybe i should give up making a youtube channel?

Toxic coworkers can drain your energy faster than the actual work. Don't give up on the channel yet, just try to lower your expectations for a bit until you find a better balance.

Don't hold the emotional bullshit of others. It robs you of your time and mental strength. Stay strong for your goals, and think of it as your chillout fun time, so you are more motivated to work on things. A good tip I find that has worked for me that is kind of obvious now, but i done it so long i never noticed. Never turn of your PC. Always leave it running where you are and DON'T buy/use a TV in anyway. If you need news get it between breaks on the computer. You need an environment that makes it easy for you to just come in from work, and say, "Yes finished for the day, now the time to get down to my real business!".

Yeah that's a tough part of the business you gotta beat in order to escape the dreaded hamster wheel.

Most people will work mon-fri and never give it a second thought.

You've already taken the 1st step which is to do some extra on weekends.

There's no way around it. You gotta make the weekend work pay for the 9-5 before quitting. Once you do it's really worth it.

How do you find the energy to do it? You'll need to work out, quit drinking, give up some social life and do some sports. You'll make it all back 10fold when you escape the 9-5 hamster wheel

Sounds like you’re just burned out from the week, if weekends feel too heavy, try doing very small steps instead of full work sessions.

So you can work fine the hole week with the toxic people but when you are away from them and relaxed in your home the toxic people affect you
It's just a bulshit excuse
Some people will work only when they have a boss under their head

Very easy
Get a va to handle some specific task that you know you must see to
Or complete by the weekend

The way I see it, you should rather be more motivated to build something to get out of your toxic job. Maybe what you're doing is not something you enjoy, keep exploring options and stop finding excuses because that will only hold you back.

Feeling exhausted after a toxic work week is a natural physiological response to stress and you should not make permanent career decisions like giving up your YouTube channel while in a state of burnout. Toxic environments drain your mental energy which is why your brain struggles to switch into creative mode on Saturdays even if the work itself seems fine. Instead of forcing a full work schedule on your days off you should try micro tasking by setting a timer for only twenty minutes to accomplish one small thing like writing a single title or thumbnail idea. This builds momentum without triggering the stress response associated with a long work day and keeps your project alive while you recover. Focus on the fact that your YouTube channel is your potential exit strategy from that toxic job which makes it even more important to protect your progress by adjusting your pace rather than quitting entirely.

Dont give up you can do it

Welcome to the hamster wheel! It's hard to get out of there. There's only two ways....either you do your own thing in the evenings and weekend or you save up money and quit to do your own thing. I was in the same position like you, several times actually. If you work 8-12 hours a day, still need to cook at home and maybe even go to the gym you won't do shit for your own project in the evening. And on the weekends you need to rest otherwise you will get burned out. Some people manage to do it but for me the only option was to save up and quit.

If your future plan is on your business, I don't see any reason you should be stressed out building it.

That’s a pretty normal feeling honestly, a toxic work environment can drain your energy even if the job itself is fine. Instead of giving up the YouTube idea, you could try doing very small steps on weekends like scripting or planning for 30–60 minutes, so it feels manageable instead of another big task.

Don’t give up. If your week is draining, it’s normal to feel tired on weekends. Just do small steps, like planning one video idea. Slow progress is still progress. :)

Watch the October Sky movie, its better than all motivation videos all around

A lot of people experience the same feeling, you are not alone. Personaly this has bring me strengh to grow and leave this life. Sometimes energy is not here. Sometimes i need to focus on myself. I am not good and i need to bring energy back by doing what my mind and my body are asking for. Also, by doing this, ideas comes. I experience this couple of times. Travelling is the best thing is take care of myself and make ideas coming are insane.

move your ass, if you don't do anything, you will waste more and more time with toxic people in a shitty environment
