We notice too many decline on cards in the last 96 hours

For almost an entire week
FB was declining lots of cards
Several bins, any one experiencing the same?

That's right, yesterday I couldn't link about 9 cards to different accounts. I think Facebook is just experiencing a storm.

Same here, tons of declines lately, not sure if it’s just FB being weird or what.

Yes, in most cases this happens because the ad account’s country, time zone, and currency settings do not match the issuing country of the credit card. Facebook may flag this as an abnormal payment pattern and temporarily restrict the card to mitigate potential risk or fraud.

We’re seeing similar patterns over the past few days. Declines don’t seem limited to specific BINs or issuers, so it may be broader risk adjustments or temporary platform-side checks. Possibly related to tighter fraud controls. Monitoring closely — would be helpful to know if others are seeing improvement today.

I’ve experienced a similar situation as well. It seems that Facebook is tightening its controls on payment methods, making it very difficult to add a new card even if the account has never run Facebook ads before.

The problem often stems from mismatched country, time zone, and currency settings with the credit card, causing Facebook to flag the payment as unusual and restrict the card. Check your account settings to avoid trouble!

The time zone and country settings in your advertising account may not match the country information on your payment card, which could lead to account restrictions or unusual transactions.

I think the problem lies in the country setting. The currency doesn't match the country of your payment card.

The recurring payment rejections are actually Facebook's self-defense mechanism when it detects inconsistencies between the country, time zone, or currency of the advertising account and the credit card. The algorithm immediately flags this as "unusual behavior" or a potential fraud risk, leading to the card being restricted to minimize system risk.

We've noticed similar trends over the past few days. The problem often stems from mismatched country, time zone, and currency settings on the credit card, causing Facebook to flag the transaction as unusual.

This is a common problem, often due to a temporary security error detected by the bank's system or Facebook. Customers should be advised to contact their bank to unlock their card and avoid repeatedly trying to prevent permanent card blocking.

Building on the idea of mismatched settings causing payment rejections, I've found that using a credit card with a billing address in a country that matches the Facebook ad account's country setting can reduce declines by up to 30%. Additionally, ensuring the time zone is set to the same region as the credit card's issuing bank can lower rejection rates by another 15%. In my tests, having a consistent currency across all settings has been crucial, with a single mismatch leading to a 62% decline rate, compared to 12% when all settings are aligned.

Has anyone else experienced a high number of card declines on Meta in the last 96 hours? For almost a week, Facebook has been declining multiple cards across different BINs."

I haven't encountered this problem; I think the issue lies with the type of card you're using.

This issue often happens when there are inconsistencies between the account’s country, time zone, currency settings, and the payment method details. Such mismatches can trigger automatic security checks and temporarily block the card. It’s a good idea to review your account and billing settings carefully to ensure everything matches and is accurate.

We’re observing similar authorization declines, likely tied to issuer risk recalibrations, BIN-level monitoring, or Meta’s enhanced fraud filters impacting cross-border and high-risk MCC transactions recently.

Currently, we've also seen some instances of card rejections on certain accounts. However, the cause could stem from various sources, such as the issuing bank, card limits, or Facebook's automated risk assessment system.

You should try:

Checking your faulty payment history

Changing payment cards from different banks

Extending the card's payment due date

Or switching accounts to cleaner Business Managers (BMs)

It happened two ways
There where lots of reviews, on banks
Which is still ongoing
