That's not what I said at all, I simply said that I realized there were plenty of content services available on BHW when I first joined. The reason I haven't made a BST thread is because I'd feel stupid for paying another $97 when I could have simply waited till I was "Jr. VIP material".

In fact, I would bet that my writing is probably up to par with the best this site has to offer ;). 5-stars on Elance after two years of use HAS to mean something, right?

That's just laid off, not fired. She will be able to collect unemployment. Do you have six month extensions in Canada for unemployment compensation? It's very upsetting when companies lay off the middle aged. I have seen it happen many times. They are replaced by kids right out of school who can be paid less. Also, it's harder for them to find new jobs. You are a good son for helping her with the bills.
 
Sometimes you will think its the end of everything. If you look back 10 years from now, you would see that this was just part of your life that made you become stronger.

I don't want to be rude, but if this is the worst thing you've dealt with, be grateful. I spent my whole childhood with just my mother raising me and we lived off her small income and often jobless periods of time. I would not change it for all the money in the world because it taught me two things, my mum is an extremely strong women and that money isn't everything.

use this experience as a learning one and make the most of it. You're not going to die and the next couple of years will be tough but it will always make you strong in the end.
 
Not sure how Canada works, but I think she might be able to collect unemployment for a certain amount of months so she can use that time to find a job. Talk to your mother about it
 
It is the moment like this, when the real YOU emerges. You can only utilize your full potential in do or die situations. I take it as an opportunity for you to get this shit sorted.

Tell you what man, this is the best time to prove yourself. You may be a young kid, but you have grown up enough to take care of your family. Do whatever it takes and pull your family out of this. May God be with you. Best of luck :)
