This is a great community with lots of great information here which has helped me so much over the last few months with creating websites and learning about online marketing.
I had an idea recently and I decided to take action today to create it. I am going to make a blog which will feature some of the what I feel as some of the best artists, designers, dj's, music producers etc both locally and internationally.
My overall plan is to blog about these topic and stuff that is suitable. The categories would be lets say Music, Fashion, Design. However, I want to not only blog but when the site gets more traffic I want to sell also kind of like sites such as Hypebeast & Highsnobiety but I want the e-commerce side to be more integrated than those sites, where the users doesnt have to click into the Shop section that some of the products would be shown on the side etc.
I am relatively good at programming and have friends who are experienced at it also.
The question I have is should I use Tumblr or Wordpress.
I plan on using a custom domain also, will this have any effect on SEO?
