I'm pretty sure there are a lot of Pakistani members around... here's my question for all of you folks

What bank do you use for your IM activities?

I walked into Askari today and they told me they don't issue internationally acceptable debit/credit cards... it does have a mastercard or visa (don't remember exactly) on it but it is accepted only in Pakistan.

My problem is I live 60 miles from Islamabad and if I open an account in Citibank, I will have to visit their branch/ATM every time I need something done or need to withdraw money... My current location doesn't have a citibank (or any international bank) branch. Sucks!

So tell me guys what bank are you using for your internet marketing activities and how are they playing? Need your suggestions ASAP.

Thanks.

I am using Standard Chartered Banks account

Also using their ATM , Visa and Master cards both

And using them for my 2CO payments and online purchasing and everything.

Sounds good. So their card is accepted when you try to buy something online?
I'm trying to get rid of this payoneer card as this is on my dad's name.

Yes you can use SC's cards almost anywhere online ,
i have't faced any issue from last 2 years .

Only 1 site will not accpet your Standard Chartered's card and that is Paypal aka Gaypal

Haha yeah thats pretty obvious. They don't accept buyers/sellers from Pakistan.

I'll look into SC. Too bad they too don't have a branch where I live.
HBL
MCB
UBL
Askari
Alfalah

Those are the ones that are at a walking distance from my residence.

UBL is much better , but you need to pay RS 250 extra on each online transaction

That sucks :(

That would have been acceptable if I were to make one transaction every week. But I use my card almost everyday (multiple times a day).

HMM , then SC is the only best option for you .

@bk071: I m not from pakistan. I m from India. Here it is like even i have citibank account i can withdraw money from each and every ATM(No matter which bank it is) and i m not being charged for it. Is it different in Pakistan.

Ah really , IMO when you withdraw from another bank then you have to pay some small extra charges ?
And you can withdraw from any ATM , even if you have any bank's ATM card

I am using Bank Alfalah Islamic for adsense income for PP my czn sends money through UBL. Both accounts have ATM.
I am using American Express which is under standard chartered and it works perfect for online payments using it for 4 years.

Yes it is. No charges for using other banks ATM's. But there is a limit of 5 Transactions per month and after 5 transactions are over bank's charge RS 20 .

I suggest go for UBL if you want to receive wired money in your account or want to clear international cheques like clickbank cheques because their service is fast. I normally get wired money in 2-3 days and they clear my clickbank cheques in 2 weeks. But UBL VISA debit card never got accept when you going to purchase anything from Clickbank. But in purchasing from 2CO it works everytime.

Another vote for Standard Chartered, i use my Visa debit card for online transactions!

Thanks everyone.
Looks like Standard Chartered is the way to go... I heard Citibank is good too but too bad the nearest branch from my residence is about 90 km away.

So to all of you using SC, you use their VISA debit card or some Credit Card?
