H1 "Bob is fat"
etc
just mix it

Use a few LSI keywords in the H1 tag. You can find these by opening the adwords keyword tool, entering your targeted keyword and by looking an what alternative keywords google returns for you.

Dude, do your keyword research then decide which keywords you can rank for pertaining to your site's topic then use them in the title exactly as they were when you found them.
Then you need to use them again within your description, <H1> tags, your keywords container as well as sprinkled lightly throughout your on page content.
This will yield the best results, don't worry about duplicates and all that crap. You'll be fine.

you can use css styling to change all the properties of your h1 tags...
take a look at: http://www.w3schools.com/Css/default.asp
Title should be ideally around 65 characters.
Description meta tag should be ideally 250 characters
Title and description should be very different and description should describe what that webpage is all about.
H1 tag should be your no. 1 target keyword with some qualifying words.
You have to be very careful about all these and think well as onpage seo has more importance than backlinks as your webpage is your main property.

Title and H1, H2, H3 all tags are important and you must decide well before putting them online.
If after sometime you are not satisfied with your title tag, you may change it to optimize for other keyword also but don't change it too often, once or twice is ok.
