Tips on Ranking on Google after huge hit?

For reference, I recently launched a new downloader website for a social media platform, which is currently the number one ranked result on Bing. The issue that has arisen is that after a few weeks of climbing the rankings on Google and eventually breaking into the top 10, the Google Search Core update rolled out and completely destroyed my ranking, to the point where my site was not ranked and then relisted as the 100th result.

Is there any way to salvage this? Is it just something I need to wait out? I'm concerned that I'm either being idle when I should be fixing something, or concerned when I just need to be patient. Any advice would be helpful

For a few days, it was completely gone from search, then it came back as the 100th result and has fluctuated around that number for a couple more days now.

Try to see if your new posts are still indexing. If new posts are still indexing fine then I suggest you exercise some patient as it MAY recover back.

That's pretty weird, are you ranking for brand keywords like your domain name or there are keywords from articles?

Usually it’s called Google dance, after a few weeks you will have better set of data for analysis. Currently keep working on the branding side of the website so that Google considers your website out of the sandbox and decide to crawl and rank again later on.
