What position are you in at the moment?
It's dancing at the moment. Bottom of the page to around number 8 or 7.

Nothing screams AMATEUR more than believing in Google keyword tool search volume stats
You must double check your chosen keyword phrases with a service such as spyfu.com, as the Google tool is only good for getting ideas and checking how the claimed search volume is trending - i.e. is it seasonal, or falling off generally
Regardless of what the true search volume is, unless you get the #1 search result spot, you won't get more than a very small percentage of the traffic from Google

I did an exact yes. I'm not at the top of the page yet either, I done some improvements that haven't been indexed yet. maybe it will improve if I can get to the top of the page and it's only been 2 days,, so maybe it will improve. rant over, back to work![]()
Thats your problem
If your not number 1, well just dont bother the traffic difference between #1 and #2 is insane.
Granted if you are number 2 you can some times syphon off the clicks of #1 if you have authorship/video result etc but in general, number 1 or go home![]()
95000 / 30 days = 3166 searches a day
The lower results in the top 10 SERPs might only get like 2% clickthrough, which is only 63 visitors a day.
At 100 you're getting 3.16% which sounds about right.
If you hit #1 you'll probably be around 750 a day. It all depends on what kind of ads Google is running and who else ranks above you.
Another good reason to keep going. BTW, I am trying to thank you guys, but the thank function is not showing for me. Any ideas why?

10 Thanks per day. Your daily quota might be over. Don't give up. Fight back and keep putting in efforts until your last breath.
Cheers![]()
PHPBuilt nailed it. I can never understand how people get excited because their site is on page 3 !!.
Sounds like you have found a good keyword and you have done a good job to get to page 1 in a short time frame but the top three is where the traffic is. I had a site that was in P5 for ages bringing in pennies, the jump in traffic when it went top 3 was unbelievable. Just keep doing what you are doing.
Don't give up. 100 UV ain't bad and you can keep getting better and better. If you haven't done so, create social networking pages for your site. They help a lot.
Best I get number one then![]()
LONG TAIL THAT BIOTCH! if your rankng for the main term! So you get muliple rankings..
F@@@ing P@@@@d off!
OK, so after much studying, I find a KW that has a monthly global and local search of 95k according to adwords. Buy a domain containing that keyword then build a site around it. Do my SEO as best I can. Add plenty of good, unique content. Built some tier 2 sites around it and blasted them with wiki links and social bookmark links.
Then 2 days ago I hit page one for my KW, the first time I have ever managed to do this. of course I am really happy, seems the hard work paid off.
And then...
100 uniques a day since I hit page one.
WTF!
Time to give this up I think.
