How are people approaching TikTok Shop at the moment? There seems to be a big difference between simply posting product videos and building content that genuinely makes people interested in purchasing.

People are mainly leaning into short product videos, creator affiliates, and frequent LIVE selling, rather than relying on traditional ads alone

TikTok Shop's has moved to a dual system algorithm that evaluates content on both entertainment value and revenue generation ability
Saves are considered as a strong commercial intent signal

Honestly the winners right now aren't posting product clips, they're posting the "why I almost didn't buy this" video and letting the product sell itself in the comments.

Doing live test cases of products seems to be the go-to way these days or showing a relatable situation first then introducing the product as the solution.

I think the biggest opportunity is in products that solve a clear problem or create an impulse to buy. Things people can understand in a few seconds tend to work well on TikTok. The hard part isn't getting views, it's finding products where the content itself creates the reason to buy.
