Tiktok Algorithm and Detection

Hey guys,

I’ve been into CPA/PPI for a long time and decided to start using TikTok as a potential passive earner a few months ago.

As I’ve read a lot of the forums many people start of great promoting CPA offers when their accounts are still new. Later the performance of the account drops when the algorithms detects any strange behaviour.

I’ve noticed every new account gets a performance boost of 500+\- views for the first video and it calculates the view duration/like ratio and decided if the video goes up to the next level (2000+ views). I have been doing a lot of research with clean and rooted android phones to brand new iPhones and decided iPhone makes the accounts seem more legit for the algorithm somehow.

I have been getting some views with resetting the phone somehow but it seems the WIFI MAC ADDRESS is unchanged in info which kind of blocks the accounts from going over 5k views. (To my knowledge this impossible to change in a non jailbroken iPhone).

I know this is an extremely interesting subject for this type of monetization and would love to discuss about this with fellow people also interested in the same thing. I come from a country where CPA is not really popular so there is nobody in my near area doing the same thing. But I just know that affiliate marketing is a great way to achieve financial freedom.

To ask my actual question: what data is tiktok (allowed) to pull from our phones? I know its a chinese company but I believe they should still follow USA/European law to get a position on those app stores right? I have the feeling they are taking way more data than they say. My traffic has been declining after the 4th reset and I have the feeling it has something to do with my IMEI, WIFI MAC Address or serial number. If you use the 4g hotspot of another phone you can rotate proxys when you want so it cannot be the IP. Any thoughts?

I have a few questions if you don't mind:

Do you always use brand new accounts created with your own 4G connection? Wouldn't it be safer to buy aged accounts and use proxies?
Have you ever struggled with phone verification? If so, do you have any tips on how to bypass it?
I've heard that the content you post will only be shown in the country you are in. Have you ever had that issue?

I tried using VPN with phones or emulators my max views per account get 500 views... Even if the video gets good metric (comments, likes, view retention) my views per video still remains the same at 500 every video

Hey thanks for the reply. Currently I have only tried brand new account as I want to cut costs as much as possible. I have been looking for a good supplier though, but most providers seem to have created through russian ip’s. As long as you use a brand new (reset) phone everytime you wont have any verification issues to my knowledge. And the content you post will be shown to a group of people using these rules:
Sim card provider country
Wifi address country
Location services
Language setting/time setting

It seems somehow the algorithm is still preventing you from going to the next level. Ive had this issue too but if you just keep uploading and still get views it means you didnt get shadowbanned yet. It could also have something to do with people reporting the video

I think this is very true. Actually prior jailbreaking the device my videos were trending all the time (literally almost every 3rd video) however now I can't surpass the 3k view limit despite having a good ratio of likes/comments. Could jailbreaking the device be at fault?

All I can say is that they are extracting more data than they should that's why they have faced a class action hopefully that will ring a bell for them (https://choice.npr.org/index.html?o...class-action-suit-over-theft-of-personal-data) in relation to GDPR compliance TikTok is heavily under surveillance from appropriate data protection authorities, yet they mostly rely on 'security by design' principles and that's why they get away with this. I have attached an example file of what data TikTok collects.

Thank you for this, its really helpful and actually confirms what I already thought but couldn't prove. Could you tell me where you found that data? (Image attachment) Id love to read into it. As I said in the new iOS update Apple has implemented a feature called “private wifi” which I suspect has to do with the data collecting of TikTok. I'm still testing this feature and so far my brand new accounts on iOS get 0 views after the 3rd reset so I'm afraid this "private wifi" is not helping a lot. Maybe I am still missing something though.. I have other tests running on a Android Studio Emulator and I'm rooting a Samsung Galaxy S8 at the moment. I'm currently using fresh SIM cards for everything as they are only €1,- each in the store. If TikTok is somehow extracting the IMEI numbers of the iPhone devices there's no way to use Apple devices unless you purchase them brand new. The wifi MAC address can stilll be worked around though.

Yes this will set you as a totally new user in the system with nothing linked(make sure you dont use your home wifi without a decent proxy) but im afraid buying a new phone for every 3 accounts is not really profitable

Do you really need a SIM card though?
What about a phone with no SIM card (maybe even airplane mode enabled?), with its location disabled or spoofed, connected to your Wi-Fi network and using a residential proxy from another country? Wouldn't that work?

I have tried that on iPhone just not on a rooted android yet. Somehow TikTok pulls data from the phones/os which allows the algorithm to detect whether you are using a simulated android environment, vpn, and pulls all kind of data from the simcard which I guess is also processed into their calculation to rate the account on legitimacy. So when there is no simcard the account may get flagged on TikTok side. But still its possible to go viral on a tablet/ipad too so maybe I should try that next.

This most likely will help however it's not mandatory. I advise you to only use iOS devices. I have also bought second hand iPhones for running TikTok accounts. Yet when you do this you should make sure that the previous device owner has not installed or used TikTok before since TikTok collects information relating to your device ID. Also, highly advisable to use a separate device from the one you are using for daily matters than you won't have to delete all info from every app and turn off geo location once you open TikTok app.

It's crazy how TikTok has developed their algorithm to detect rooted phones, proxies and emulators. Really puts us back in the Stone Age haha

No need for residential proxies, plenty of people running their accounts via VPN.

Are you still using iOS with no sim? Or have you found working emulator?

using an iOS with no SIM and VPN. Works like a charm, however find it a bit difficult automating the whole process.

Bullshit.I use android and have the same views as on iPhone.Just pull the sim card out and do a factory reset then use VPN.Oh and deny access to your location and other data.

In fact, it is quite relevant to use the web version of tiktok for a multi-account. Using mobile proxies and antidetect browsers like multilogin or indigo - there are great chances of success.
