Tiered link Bulding beginner Question

Hello All,
Im looking to learn more about SEO as a whole, but especially Link building. I currently personally have two businesses and am trying to rank them better. I have been accumulating direct links regularly for a few weeks but now want to build another tier via web 2.0 preferably. Are there any good recourse to show me how to build links to my current links ? Im very open to suggestions or any other method as im new to all of this.

When it comes to building links to links you've already got, you may want to take a few different things into consideration. Hopefully the article can help explain it all a little better.

Thanks for this information! I like his site (I mean Matthew Woodward). A lot of interesting posts. But I missed this one.

I usually build web 2.0 and blog posts (unique and original, 1000% readable content) and then run lots of links to these properties/posts.
