But tiered link building is still possible provided that the quality of the links is valued more than the tiers.

I favor a straightforward structure that contains only quality and relevant links rather than using automated tools such as GSA or RankerX.

Of course, tiered link building remains effective; however, the way it operates and the rules of the game have changed completely compared to the past.

Tier link building is still used, but I’d keep it simple and focus on quality. I avoid relying heavily on automated tools like GSA or RankerX because bulk, low-quality links can create risks.

Tiered link building still has its place but stick to 1–2 tiers and focus on link quality rather than pumping out volume. Gsa and RankerX useful for tier links, but keep automated stuff away from money site and don't overdo it.
 
We still use tiered link building in some strategies. Usually keep it to 2 or 3 layers depending on the project. Automated tools can be useful for secondary links but we avoid sending low-quality blasts directly to money pages.
 
Whatever tiering you use, make sure your lowest tier comes from a link type that is already indexed or that can be indexed naturally - sources where you add to an existing page rather than create a new page. This is why blog comments and low-moderation forums are mostly used here.

Yes, tiered link building still works when focusing on quality over automation. I typically use Tier 1,2 focusing on real niche-relevant sites. I don't use GSA or RankerX
