Last year I bought a plugin called "Thrive Leads". With this one you can create forms and build an e-mail list. However, since a few months it is not possible to export the e-mail list.

I have the plugin installed on a few websites and got over 10k e-mails (all targeted) in total during the last few months, but there is NO way to export or download them. Can you imagine this?

So I spent more than 100 bucks for a plugin and a company, which not only made wrong promises by saying/showing I can export the e-mails, but they also harm me a lot (I could just use another service/plugin before) and now I have 10k e-mails, but no way to export them.

I went to their support, asking for a way to export the e-mails and got this reply:

"Unfortunately, this is not something that can be done right now through our tools in order to have GDPR compliancy. If you can find a way to extract them from your database, it might work, but I am afraid we can’t assist you in this endeavor for legal reasons. We hope that you can understand."

So basically it could work, but they don't want to do it. They don't take any responsibility for this plugin or customers. Very very bad.

And now lets come to all the SEO and Marketing blogs I just found on Google. "Best plugin in 2019" - yeah, fuck you guys. No word of the export issue. I know some of you might read this...you better add it to your articles, otherwise some people might be really mad at you.

Can you see the emails but not export them? If yes you can use a google addon named: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/email-extractor/jdianbbpnakhcmfkcckaboohfgnngfcc

WTF for real, post your situation on all top forums and community sites.

thats true, pretty shitty from them
also their plugins are shitloaded, to use the plugin you also need their page builder, 2 plugins 15mb+ wtf

Yep its time to start posting your experience all over Reddit and Popular forums. As well as leaving a bad review on their FB pages and Google page. Only way they will learn.

wwow! really? I'm using thrive theme and their plugin called thrive content builder.

Yes, I should do.

Another thing they did is: They made their forum private. Before, when this plugin was working, the forum was public and could be seen by everyone, but now it is private and no one can see threads etc. I guess too many upset users? Its really ridiculous.

1. First of all, nowadays when you google any service or anything that you want to buy along with the kw "best", you will recommendations by affiliates. Tons of those are there.

2. Thrive themes and overall thrive is highly promoted by bloggers and marketers. They will make it seem that Thrive is the "best" AIO solution but now your experience makes me think otherwise. I have not used their service personally but now I am concerned about what you said because I was planning to use their service in future.

Do one thing - Take a scrolling screenshot of those emails and go to onlinemcr and do screenshot to text?

Sorry it happened to you but 10k targeted emails is not a joke. If they will not solve this issue, just find a way to ruin them. Maybe do a youtube video and make it viral?

I will check it out. Thanks.

Yes, I know they are promoting and being affiliate, but still its a shitty move to promote shitty stuff. Its like I would promote a Paypal Money Generator on my websites.

I have this plugin as well but have not used it, thank you for the heads up op. Good post

I'm confused. Did you not connect the Thrive plugin to an email marketing service like Aweber, GetResponse, etc?

No, usually I get e-mails and export them. Then put them into my Mailchimp account.

Hi my friend! Try to connect your Mailchimp directly, I use Thrive Leads since 3 years ago and since for now I don't have any problems. Let me know!

Thrive used to sell themes and was everywhere two years ago but now I heard they stopped selling themes and just push this and their Elementor spinoff...

My understanding is they're relaunching the themes in this next couple of months. They had a sign up page to get notified as they're getting ready to relaunch.
Downside is they have changed their licence, so there's not the same developer privileges with the top package, instead it's now just a multisite licence for sites you own personally, not clients.

I think they'll lose a lot of clients for doing this. They should grandfather in any people who are already using agency plans.

Login to your DB and get it bro it should be easy AF to do it manually

Nope bro, its not working. Or do you mean I should copy 10k emails manually into my excel file? Would be easy AF, but also it would take long AF.
