I have been hired for my first SEO job and its in an incredibly competitive market: Plumbers in Boston, MA. I have closely looked at the competition and all the spam sites that come with the keywords. I have made a very professional looking website, plugged in a list of 20 keywords into every page, setup social media sites, and registered his business on every business directory. I'm about to start purchasing backlinks and am thinking about buying traffic.

I need to show some sort of rank soon and I'm worried I got myself into a mess. Is there any advice you guys could give me for ranking a landing page website like this? I'm not looking to be spoon fed, I have been applying everything I have learned so far.. just didnt know if there might be some tricks you knew of for this type of offline market. Thank you so much in advance!

I'd suggest that you ad a bunch of content to the banging the keywords you want to rank for initially.

Then head over to the services section here and get with some of the guys that can offer you a quality service... I would probably mix it up and use more than one quality provider.

Then get some 550+ word articles and publish them on ezine in a few different categories.

Just out of curiosity did you manage the customer's expectations as to how quickly they would rank?

quality response thank you... any other thoughts?

They are looking for results within a month or two.. there are some neighborhoods that have medium comp. instead of high, so I think I will start with those to keep him happy.
