Maaan, I don't even remember for how long I have been subscribed to his newsletter. Quality and valuable content for sure.
Haven't purchased anything from him tho.

My opinion of @MatthewWoodward is iffy. While he seems like a good guy who knows his stuff, there was a long thread in late 2016 where Ste (Banned member 185991) called him out for faking earning screenshots: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/matthew-woodward-liar-pretender-gurutard-and-ginger.890898/
Matt's response was an ultra-defensive non-answer, and then he disappeared for two and a half years. He also apparently associates with Charles Floate, BHW's favorite pedophile, child porn keeper, and wannabe hacker. Anyone who associates with him typically is not viewed favorably to a good piece of knowledgeable forum members.
He recently came back with a good tidbit of knowledge. But from what I see, while he may share some good information, he appears to be another number-inflating "guru" selling courses on how to sell courses, fake inflation of their own ego, and disdain from the general internet marketing community who considers him a sell-out only out to make a buck for himself. Like a small-time Neil Patel. I am more than happy to be proven wrong, though.

I haven't even glanced at the thread in question so I have no idea of what he is being accused of but as the owner of one of the services he was an affiliate for I can state unequivocally that the earnings he reported for the monthly earnings posts, for my service at least, was 100% correct.
I will probably go read that thread soon just to see what was being said but I have dealt with Matthew a few times and despite him sometimes being a bit slow to reply he has always been on the up and up. MW has always stuck to his word, delivered what was promised in the time period promised and I can say he is one hell of a marketer. I do not know where he stands in the rankings of this game but he knows his stuff and is great to work with.
Take my words for what you want but I know that the earnings he posted for my affiliate program he was promoting were entirely correct and not inflated in the slightest.
*EDIT* I just read that thread and everything MW stated was entirely plausible. I cannot vouch for him on that instance as I was not there and cannot speak for him but nothing of what he stated sounded like it was untrue or even unlikely.
Lots of what was in the thread was just assumptions and accusations, in that situation as the accused you really cannot do much to prove your innocence as any proof would not be accepted as anything is fakable. At least MW has a very plausible reason as to why the figures were what they were.

This sums up my thoughts on MW too, I’ve worked with him myself and always found him to be a stand up guy. I’d be the first to call out a gurutard, he’s not one in my opinion.
Whilst his audience is newbie based, he provides them with steady, solid, free and most importantly actionable advice. How he makes money then on the back of that is on him.. we’re all marketers at the end of the day, don’t hate the hustle.

When I started back in SEO, I was advised to take a look at MW's site and BHW. I went to MW's site, followed a couple of things, made my own twist and bought a few tools via his affiliate links (scrapebox etc). Then I came to BHW and never went back.
