Thoughts on AI Content

As part of the AI content work I've been doing for my journey I've been giving some thought to the concept of detecting AI content and I wanted to throw my ideas out there to see what others in the community think.

In the future there will only be good and bad content.

I believe that how text is generated won't matter as much as the accuracy of the article and the authority of the author.

https://decrypt.co/149826/openai-quietly-shutters-its-ai-detection-tool shows the challenges of being able to correctly classify content as written by AI and more importantly not giving a false positive to human created content.

I spent a few hours playing around with some of the other classifier tools, using content from case studies published by leaders in our field and sure enough the tools did flag many of these articles as AI to some degree. I tried to remove the chance of these being AI generated by using archive.org to look at the site pre-2019.

While Google could build a massive training set of AI articles and non-AI articles I believe that this might be too massive a challenge even for Google and probably not worth the effort.

From a useability point of view, it makes sense to serve the best possible result to the user. So if we have a poorly written article by a human and a well written article by an AI, which should they rank? For me the answer is obvious.

Anyway that's my little rant about the state of AI. Thoughts welcome.

What do you do to make ai content undetectable other then manual editing?

@IM Dude this is the thing - I don't think you'll need to make it undetectable as I don't believe that Google will care if AI wrote it or not. The level of editing needed would depend on the quality of the competition already ranking and the output of the AI.

Let's say you're going up against a bunch of other unedited AI articles, they're all going to say the same thing so the ranking factor will be the one that "reads best" (whatever that might mean) or has the best UX.

I still think AI content can and will outrank content produced by an average writer without any editing. However, if you're going up against a site that has a human editor on staff then this is probably a good sign you'll need to edit the content.

Anyway, like I say it's just a theory but something I'm going to look into.

my thoughts are so genuine about Al Tools they just fucking obsessed with our self we are so lazy nd discourage us like we are nothing to do something we are loser loser loser.....

Good or bad, AI is gonna dominate the contents in the coming years. I guess it is the right direction to take.

AI is good but depend so much of it is also bad, make you so dependant of it and try to do everyhting only using AI it destroy imagination don't get me wrong AI is also helpfull is just to use wisely and totally agree with the google cotent is really difficult for them to dectec with 100% accuracy AI content and mark alll the AI content without making a mistake, they just check that comply with their TOS and that is all.

My thought is AI cant replace Humans,it helps us to become more effecient.
We can discover a new level of efficiency that blows the doors off what we thought was not possible by the combination
of Talented writers + marketers + AI

I agree with you. AI is taking over content creation, and gaining popularity everyday.

AI-generated content is often of better quality than human-written content. This is because AI tools analyze different published texts and then create something similar using the same style. It also has no spelling or grammatical errors.

AI is a good addition to our technological repertoire, but its best use is getting ideas about writing and other factors.

I think AI-generated content has immense potential and can be quite valuable in various contexts. It has the ability to assist writers, marketers, and creators by generating text quickly and efficiently. However, you need to check if the data that the AI provides is correct.

Writing my opinion based on facts, AI articles rank without an issue, you just need to make sure they make sense and are good. That being said, i have also seen sites being penalized due to AI content, so make sure your content is not detected as AI in every detector, just dont be too strict about it. The purpose is for the content to not be mechanical and have a human touch.
