Hi :)

I found a cheap technique to rank web 2.0 sites pretty easy for many medium competition keywords and most low competition keywords, and it works almost every time. Normally it takes 1-2 months to rank a keyword.

BUT... I am wondering if it would be considered as a blackhat technique by Google to start redirecting these ranking web 2.0 sites to my money sites?

Here is how I would do it

1:
First I would get the 2.0 page ranked for my keyword.

2:
When I got the desired ranking, I would move the content/article from the web 2.0 page to a new page created on my money site.

3:
Then I would redirect the web 2.0 page to the new page on my money site, where the content/article has been placed.

Is that blackhat??

Any comments much appreciated.

Thanks, Jean

You can't redirect the web 2.0, it will be deleted in 5 minutes. Maybe you can try with a rel=canonical tag but i've never tried.
Could you talk more about your ranking method?

Hi,

Well i tested if it was a problem to redirect a web 2.0 blog. I did it with a ranking Google Blogspot blog for 27 days ago, and it is still live, ranking at the same spot. It has also been re-catched by Google 2-3 times since then.

Maybe I have just been lucky so far?

But there are actual several guides on the net for how to redirect a Google Blogspot blog, and also I found one for how to do it with a Weebly blog. They don't tell it's not allowed, so what to believe?

About my ranking method, it's much like ranking a Youtube video. They easier to rank, as they have lots of authority from main domain. So in the end it comes down to keyword research.

Sounds like you are using blackhat methods for ranking the web 2.0 sites, so ultimately, your technique would be considered blackhat.

I have had a blogger blog which was related to forex redirected to an affiliate link for the past five years or so.

def a blackhat method, depending on how you are ranking your 2.0s :)

I rank the web 2.0 sites as you succesfully would rank a Youtube video as an example, using links from different web 2.0 platforms, edu links, social bookmarks, etc. If you see that as blackhat, then yes I use blackhat techniques.

As a note, I use Javascript redirect, so it's not a real 301/302 redirect as far as I understand(?)

So my question is still; would it be considered blackhat technique by Google, if I with Javascript, redirect my 2.0 blogs to my money sites?

P.S. If it's of any help, I use a guide from the site "blogtimenow" to do the redirect. (Sorry I am not allowed by Blackhatworld to insert the link to the guide.)

Thanks for your help, much appreciated. :)

I wasn't aware that you can do this with javascript, great, i'll look at the guide, it could be a very good method if the blogs aren't deleted.

Okay thanks, I got that. :)
I am using Javascript redirect instead.

Why not just keep the content on the web 2.0? Why would you redirect it and eventually lose rankings? Just monetize it since it's already ranking well.

Seems like a pretty bad idea IMO.
