Added a Simple Interactive Calculator to a Page.
Why it works:
Educates the user about savings in their context (not just a generic pitch).
Builds trust by showing transparency.
Increases perceived value before the form.
We run a credit card processing company, and like many in our space, we were struggling with turning traffic into leads. People would visit our landing page, skim the copy, then bounce. We had testimonials, pricing info, clear CTAs — but it just wasn’t sticking.
After watching a few session recordings and asking leads what they wanted to know first, one thing kept coming up:
“How much would I actually save?”
So here’s the tweak:
We added a simple savings calculator to the landing page.
Just 3 fields:
Monthly processing volume
Average ticket size
Current rate (if known)
It immediately gave them an estimated monthly savings vs. the industry average.
What happened?
Time on page tripled
Form submissions jumped by 80%
Best of all, the leads were way warmer — many mentioned the calculator in the LIVE Chat.
We didn’t gate it; no email required to use it—just straight value.
Why I think it worked:
People don’t trust vague “save money” claims, but they love a personalized number
It helped us stand out in a commoditized market
It made the next step feel like their decision, not ours
Has anyone else tried interactive tools or content on your lead-gen pages? I would love to hear what works for you.
