I just discovered that the billboard prices monthly are very cheap in my country, I checked the prices and i saw that monthly price is like 30-40 USD for 30 days.

and now the stratagy is that im going to create an E commerce website, probably a Shopify store and then im gonna choose a profitable product and buy 50-100 of the same product from china alibaba or something and then on the billboard there will be my website's link and website name and the product image so people will check my website on google and they will see the product.

the billboard prices are so cheap so i can hire 5-10 billboards and i can get 100s of thousands of impressions. What do you think about this project?

Don't delay and give it a try, if it's unsucessful then you learnt from experience. If it's successful then you can be profitable and continue expanding.
 
Billboards are not for direct sales but rather for branding.

Joe puts up a billboard advertising his insurance company; Mrs. Jones sees it all the time. Mrs. Jones needs insurance and when looking around remembers Joe's Insurance company because it is in the back of her mind.

Direct sales rarely come from a direct hit from a BB but rather over the long haul as to a branding opportunity.
 
You'll just waste your money, for these types of campaigns you literally have to buy like 100 ad spaces where people can see your AD multiple times. It's not a banner, they can't click it, so you need to make them remember your brand name to just achieve a visit.

learn about the marketing funnel
The drawback of billboards to digital marketing is that its not easy to convert...whereas you would have 2 clicks on a ppc ad to check out a product you cant as easily do that for billboards
As someone else said its better for top funnel goals, aka buyer awareness/branding
 
I think it would be more efficient if you try to put a big QR code On that Billboard containing the direct link of your product people love to scan QR codes also you'll never know till you try
 
No one can answer unless you name your country. Because I've never seen $1/day billboard prices, so it seems to me some 3rd world country.
To get the clear idea, first do your research about how many people in that area have smartphones/ tablets/ computers. You can get that data from the local ISP of that area. Also, do research about their occupation. Because placing an SEO services billboard in the area of farmers isn't going to get you a sound business.
 
It is cheap to try.
Rent one and see how it goes.
 
They were always good for the big tobacco companies especially Salem
 
Billboards are best for brand awareness not direct sales but again you will never know unless you try.
