    ...do customers just have to visit an affilaite site (but not necessarily click the affiliate link) for the affiliate to get a commisson (if the customer ends up buying the product by visiting the vendors site directly afterwards) or do they actually have to click a link on the affiliate site?:confused:

    they have to click so it installs the aff id into the cookie ... impressions doesnt count :p

    Most of the time, the customer has to click on the link.

    They have to click on your affiliate link for you to get a commission.

    No, they do not need to click your link for you to get the commission. You do need to drop your cookie on their computer tho.
