@just2016 - Did you just copy/paste @qualityservice post? Or is this some type of saying in the SEO world?

Content and links are both necessary. If your site offers low end products(less than $100) , then links are more important than content. If you offer high end products(more than $100) then content becomes more important than links as people require more persuasion effort.

Google know what they are doing... crap organic results so people click on ads or go to another google property which is youtube... so they are doing their best to keep visitors on their own websites.
Showing great results doesn't make them money... ads do so. They have a strong brand so they think they can get away with it.
