If you were to use bmd and autopligg for small niches it would work...credit and loans is a whole different ball game. You need so many quality backlinks..not trashy social backlinks...
There are a lot of advanced strategies like creating your blog farm..using article syndication...massive blog commenting... tons of strategies to get quality backlinks.
Search the forum for these specific methods and learn..and try em out...

i have those...article submitters...blog finders..blog commenters..i dont have a blog farm...it seems that to succed i have to use them all and maybe..after a while..who knows...keep the suggestions comming..this is helpfull for me! thanks 
Almost every thread in the forum is one explaining methods to increase SEO, you could try reading them instead of having people post them all in here. All I do is start at the top and read everything in the list from all sections. If it's drama between members I leave it, if it's info, I absorb and go to the next. Once someone mentions a tool or method, type it in the search and find another 10 threads about it. Very simple, and faster then waiting for others to post stuff in here.

If I were you, I wouldn't just go for BMD to promote your website.
Try submitting them to social networking sites. If it's a blog, submit them to rss feeds to ping that blog. Get some backlinks/traffic with either autopligg and/or xrumer. Submit them to as many search engines possible (all automated of course ). I do this for all of my WH sites, and it spits out traffic like never before.
Try using Senuke, IBP, and if you want to do some BH for quick traffic - create some doorway pages TBP

Alot of big boys have spent quite a bit of time and invested alot to rank for the top traffic keywords in the loans-credit niche.
You could always rank for the longtail, say more geo targeted keywords using some blogs and bmd.
Like EX. "low interest loans in saltlake city", "bad credit loan seatle, WA"
There is always room in any niche, just have to find keywords for your level of resources.
