How does that image have anything to do with a .rar file? Because he's packed up or something?

Here is the original image. I just don't understand how someone looked at that image and said "LOL looks drunk!" Has anyone actually seen a drunk person do this? Judging by his dirty clothes, work boots and location, it really doesn't look like he just partied too hard at the clubs the night before. It looks like sleeping outside is a regular thing for him. Depressing.

Ya I don't know any educated person who could honestly say that someone with a healthy mind would choose Alcohol and Drugs over living in a home with a full staff. It really is a disease, and can be physical, mental, or both. Some people don't consider themselves strong enough to deal with the withdrawals even when given the choice to get help getting sober.

I have seen family members deal with withdrawals from years of prescription pain medication (legit reasons, paraplegic), and I myself had a very hard time physically coming off morphine after only a few weeks of use in the hospital. Once your body becomes physically dependent, it isn't just a choice between being drunk and being sober, you have to put your body through hell to get well again, some people dont survive it.

Alcoholism or a dependence on alcohol isn't formed overnight though. Typically it begins purely because of of the chemical reaction that goes on in the brain. A person seeks to recreate that feeling so they go back for more. Eventually, in really bad cases, it goes on to that person feeling as though they need the alcohol to get through to the day. That's when you have a disease, a mental one.

Same can be said for just about anything. Alcohol, drugs, video games, hell even IM.

I don't really know if I could say alcoholism is a disease for all. It's kind of like the topic of whether depression is genetic or not.

Regardless, poor guy. I swear if I was rich I'd try to help every homeless person I could. I've never had a bad run in with a homeless person. They are such kind people. Sure, some of them did end up their because of their own choices..doesn't mean they deserve it though. We all make mistakes in life, seriously.
