For a very brief moment, yes (probably unintentional).

But Meta obviously won't take that. If you see how Threads work, it is 100% integrated to instagram. You use your instagram username in threads (if you change your username from threads, it also changes in insta). So they are obviously using the same schema and probably the same session as well. It is not a very big deal to do a basic twitter clone anyway. Ranking algo can be improved over time.

I understand this is more of a joke thread, but in case someone really believes it, nope, threads did not clone twitter source code lol.
