Thanks for your helpful instructions.Bookmarked op.

My god I love this thread. Thanks op.

Question: I have a keyword that keyword reveal says has 0 (no competition) and 8100 monthly searches. Google says 2400 monthly searches and competition is high. When I type the word in google I get 7 million results. This seems like high competition, but keyword revealer disagrees. Am I reading this wrong?

Great post, didnt knew that traffic travis had a keyword difficulty metric, found some easy keywords

i just purchased long tail pro platinum and honestly can't figure out how to analyze the competition :( , what is the most for your page authority and domain authority ??

Awesome works thanks keyword research it's the hard part & always confusing

Keyword Research isn't hard if we know some special things. Everyone knows this is the main role in building sites. There are 5 to 6 different type keywords and we need to follow 6 concepts before selecting the keywords to build.
1. Analysing the competitors.
2. If you see any e-commerce website on top ten, omit that keyword because cant beat them even if you build tons of links.
3. Check competitors PA, DA, Backlinks, Moz and site age.
4. Do you think that you can beat the very old websites on google? Its bit hard, Someone will tell you that can beat them, but can't sustain for long on top.
5. Few more things here to be considered, if you have doubts quote me or PM me, i will help you.

That was really easy. I always struggle in picking good niches but this look like a good idea :)

Picking niches isn't hard buddy. If you are going to build amazon affiliate websites, then target products which price range is 50$ to 100$. I suggest you outdoor recreation having high price products and they will always be trendy.

Thanks and nice info. But i did some research and i got totally different result

Which one i should trust? How do i find out which one is correct?

Here you wont get even correct search volumes of keywords and competition also will be wrong. I prefer long tail pro is good and showing correct keyword difficulty.

Thank you so much for this thread. It helps a lot.

I was wondering if you could produce or re-direct me to other previous threads/websites that contains more information regarding keywords and how to beat your competition that's in your niche.

Again, thank you so much :)

Do white hat SEO, definitely can beat competitors. Build web2.0,PBN and guest post. These three link building strategy will help you more than other links.
Social sharing for getting traffics.

Traffic Travis and Long Tail - which one is better guys?

Traffic Travis and Long Tail - which one is better guys?

I stopped using LTP a few months back, but they're running a cloud version too now, so it might me more accurate than before.

I use a mix of 5 different tools, then manually check competition.

Great post, will add it to the various other methods I have read. Throw them all together and make it work :D

Awesome tip, in addition, I recommend using Moz PA to detect the the competition of specific keywords. If there are over 50% in top 10 have PA >= 30, this keyword must be a tough one. Easy sign.

Your brilliant explanation makes keyword research very simple. Thanks for sharing the great Information.
