I was doing some market research and found that this guy appears on the first page no matter which "yeast infection" kws I search for in Google. He has more than 1k backlinks to his article, but the problem is when I go to these pages I can't find his link on any of them. I am really confused....what do you think is he doing here?

i dont see this guys article ranking very high, and also backlinkwatch only shows 3 backlinks?

I can confirm that, only 3 links, checked in yahoo site explorer and backlink watch.

Can you tell us what tool you used to find the 1000+ backlinks?

I see 1000+ links. It looks like he injected his links and removed them after the page has been indexed or the website owner fixed it.

@kojakfull he's just used a (probably stolen) image, with I assume a higher z-index than the content underneath.

Well it is possible that the sites would be having the links when google crawler visited then.
