Of coarse they will get fucked. Stealing content is against the law. Should of used a domain extention + servers in a country that has no relations with the usa

Sometimes judges in the U.S. even seize non usa based domains since no one is in court defending the pirates. A Pirate Legal Defense Foundation could easily cause huge havoc onto IP holders by defending persons in civil court that aren't able to attend.

Let me sum this up:
A Philippine company is filing at a US court against a Filipino who was operating from the Philippines... Not much trust in their own legislative?
Its more fun in the Philippines...
Well if they filed in the Philippines the guy had a chance of winning in court, but since its in America he isn't going to go all the way to America to answer a summons so they win by default. But if they were trying to seek money they basically wasted a bunch of time since a U.S. judgement aren't going to be enforceable in the Philippines.

I hate to be so contrarian on two counts, but;
As someone with first hand experience of the Philippine courts system, and their manner of dealing with commercial disputes, I can confidently say the guy does not have a chance of winning in the Philippine courts.

And for the second part - foreign judgements can be registered and enforced in just about all jurisdictions.
