That is just my personal opinion.

Bitcoin sits at $70,000 and the alts are not following at all.

BTC ETF got approved, now Ethereum ETF passed the first hearings and the first flows should happen within the next weeks.

But nothing sensational really happened with the BTC ETF approvals (price-wise), and it almost didn't make a taint with Ethereum.

The price has been consolidating for a while, everyone is expecting huge money to come in from all sorts of institutions but Blackrock, Sailor, and everyone already have their hands in the pie... Where should this money exactly come from that kicks off all the alts?

Even if Bitcoin hits around $100,000 that's just a bare 50% rise from where we already are.

So even if there will be some push for the alts.. it's not going to be anywhere near what we have seen in the past.

To think that the money magically appears and all alts will kick off is naive in my opinion, maybe we are already halfway through this bull run... it's just not going to be as huge as the previous ones.. those days are gone... and the next one will be even worse than that because with each cycle the market needs more and more money to push all these coins further and outperform the previous times so the days of getting 100 x are long gone and getting 10 x becomes rare if you are not in the right spot at the right time.

The main problem lies within the dev teams of each altcoin project as they are the ones who are waiting for this "magical bull run" as well... so they postpone the marketing due to "favorable marketing conditions" but I think this is naive.

I think a lot of people will be very disappointed this time and we are going to see a lot of bag holders.

Still lot of oppurtunities with new coins but you need a lot of capital.

There will always be money in token launches... if it's not a straight up honeypot.. you can make money even with scam tokens if you exit before they rug.. it's all about timing.

But it isn't that easy otherwise we all would do that.

I play a little in that arena and see that the alts are not following the trend.

Any idea why that would the are not riding the wave?

ETF ETH will be live on USA soon, if you hold BTC and ETH long term, just relax

Because there isn't that much money in this world to keep pushing all these projects at once.

People have their monies already locked into different projects, but there are now thousands and thousands of them so it gets diluted.

In the grand scheme of things, just a year ago this time Bitcoin cost $25 K in June - Many people threw their life savings into this and they are not letting it go at $70 K... so nobody has the funds to push alts and as said, there are too many altcoins already solving nonexisting issues.

Tons of money is in the memecoins too... legit utility projects lack investors.

BNB had a new all-time high yesterday I think... so if your altcoin project is on that chain then you might have some luck.. most projects that I keep my eye on are on Ethereum and they are doing super bad.

So this creates another problem, people are becoming impatient and when the market conditions get slightly better.. everyone offloads their tokens to exit because of fear of the bullrun ending.

A year from here and we are back on the negative cycle.. I don't think it even lasts that long, to be honest.

The whole world is in recession, people have no money to rush into the coins, people become catious now. And don't forget the unstoppable bad news happened again and again to this industry, hackers, scandals, scams, gamble lose, etc.

Fear is there.

But the entitlement is also there.

Since the last couple of cycles everyone got rich now they think this time shouldn't be any different. But it will be.

Isn't that how crypto industry has become? Launch a new scam token, market the hell out of it and get some good token sales. Run away with the money. Rinse Repeat .. Profit.

You are not wrong at all.

It has gotten more complex tho... before it was a straight-up hard rug and the funds were pulled.. now people doxx themselves first and create a utility token that should solve a million problems but the project never moves forward and the funds get burned... this means nobody can scream Scam either.

Indefinite development.

It's money laundering in a new school way.

So basically considering it as a "FAILED STARTUP" ?

Wow this is brilliant to be honest. Because then no one questions where the money has gone.

Yeah. This is not a "super cycle" but you need people saying this so other people give you the exit liquidity so sell your crypto.
This cycle is not different from others, with time there do get a lot more people into crypto and that's also why BTC will give out less returns every time we see a top.
But there are still opportunities to make money and you should not underestimate the impact of an altcoin season.

The best thing about crypto is that no one can predict it with accuracy. However, if you are certain that market is not good for alt coins, you can make money with future trading.

I disagree because it is not mainstream yet.

Common indicators are coinbase app being downloaded so much its top in app store. Also google searches for crypto related is still very low.

Even like US propping up its economy for year end election.

The bull will come just not yet.

1) The bull-run hasn't even started yet. It's estimated to occur between Q4 2024 - Q2 2025, who knows. Maybe after US Elections. The halving happened less than two months ago, come on...

2) Yes, we are not in the altseason. So, it's pretty easy to say right now that this bull-run will be shitty...of course, if you analyze the last 30-60 days, it's all red. It's time to buy, not to sell or judge the whole scenario. If people have doubts and fear, it's time to buy.

3) In general, BTC itself is performing better than expected, it's not even bull-run yet and it's establishing a new ATH again.

4) Do you really believe that all those billionaire investors like Black Rock are just playing around? Did they buy a ton of BTC to earn peanuts? I don't think so. The game is just starting.

This thread can be interpreted as another sign that it's time to buy, people are becoming doubtful about the bull-run...halving and ETF approval are very recent, but they want something with instant impact. Be patient.

at least one sane opinion

and who said alts dont follow btc? i even stopped checking my exchanges portfolio, only btc/usd chart opened because i exactly know what is going on with them all. Just check VRA , how it reacts on btc dips and rises

The bull run hasn't even started? Are you nuts? BTC has done a new ATH and you think this isn't a bullrun?

Not all cycles are the same.

For each cycle to outperform the previous one multiple times more funds need to flow in to create the conditions.

BTC ETF was the biggest thing that could have happened with the crypto in years and Blackrock is already all in.

The market definitely goes up, there is no doubt about it as I expect the BTC to hit $100 K - this doesn't mean you will see the same pump on alts as you saw with the last cycle.

If you see the chart, 2020 also established a new ATH compared to 2017's bull-run. But then, in 2021 everyone forgot about the 2020 numbers because it grew much more.

I think it will happen similarly. Like 2024 = 2020 and 2025 = 2021.

Not all cycles are the same and the future doesn't need to follow the past, but this is definitely not the peak of this bull-run. Especially just two months after halving and ETF approval. It's too recent.

The last altcoin pump was before the halving. What kind of bull-run is that without mainstream attention and no altcoin season?

I think you were expecting an instant impact but that's not how it works. We tend to see a better performance in the coming months, right now it is easy to judge altcoins while we are far from an altcoin season.

Where did you read I have said that this is the peak of the bull run? I think I pretty clearly pointed out that BTC will do a 50 % rise from here.

Believe it or not but bull runs don't start on a pre-determined schedule. You cannot point a finger and say it starts in Q4 and then it suddenly does.

What you say is the same thing one can hear in any degen Telegram group where people parrot the exact same thing.

This is talking out of entitlement - You have decided that there is a predetermined schedule when you and everyone else magically get rich.

And that this cycle just keeps coming and coming.. you will be in a rude awakening because the more time goes on the less volatility there will be and like I said many times already... there isn't enough money in this world to outperform one cycle after another over and over again.
