Thinking of starting up a website.. Good host?

Since a long time I have been using hostgator and it is working like a charm. I suggest you hostgator. Try it. :)

i'm in the minority here and host with Godaddy..

Despite the bad reviews Price, Speed and Reliability are all great for me & have been for months....Only one bad point is their customer service can be just short of brain dead...but they do reply pretty fast.

Go with anyone you like & pay for only a month or a few at first to test them out, worst case scenario you can always swap to another host.. a lot of people rate hostgator

HG or namecheap, I also heard good reviews about Hostwind

I have heard alot of complaints about Godaddy, but haven't experienced any of them since I have been with them four years. Cost is competitive, and have always got great tech service.

The main complaint I have heard is the lack of Wordpress support, but again, all of my problems have been solved by their staff. Also, if you buy domains from them, it is very easy to service them with the hosting.

hey , i have a good free hosting solution. perfect site for wordpress... i have to sites , using wp on both , and they are loading faster than i saw. can't post links .. because the no-link post forum system. PM for the hosting link.

stablehost has always pleased me. They're cheap, they've only ever been down on scheduled down times, they're easy to use.

Their shared hosting can get a bit slow sometimes, but everything else makes up for it.

From my own experience:
Bluehost
Hostmonster
JustHost
Namecheap hosting

Bluehost and Hostmonster are owned by a single person but both operating as separate entities. All above hosts worked fine for site using wordpress.
