Thinking of arbitrage

I had the same questions regarding ezoic ads.

I've been doing traffic arbitrage for a little while and too me it's the simplest and fastest method to make money online if you have a decent site.

I have several websites and I have been experimenting with them all. I found out when one method of obtaining traffic works for a site, it may not work for another at all. It's pretty much figuring out what works and scaling up from.

I've been using taboola and adsense together with Amazon ads and affiliate program and that seems to work fine for me. But I would love to figure out how to improve on this.

None of this works if you don't have cheap traffic so I'm constantly trying to figure that out as well.

Agree with you 100%.
Two identical sites with different domains will have completely different stats to each other with the same traffic and ads.

i see they are Google Publisher Partner. They provide some their cpm ads alongside adsense?

AdBistro but from what I know about them, I think it all depends on your site and traffic to be honest.

They only accept high quality sites and content. So keep that in mind as I don't know what your site looks like. But they guaranteed me $8 though in writing. I'm hoping to renegotiate once I get my traffic in order. I have interstitial popups from them on visitors first visit of the day. The popups have to stay open for 20 seconds. At first I was a little leery since I hate popups myself but this network actually been a big part of me recouping money lost from me having my Adsense account banned and my visitors haven't been complaining.

They also temporarily banned me too around the time Adsense did but they were more accepting of my situation as to what happened with my writer sending all that bogus traffic to my site. So they reinstated me and I was extremely grateful for that.

I could make even more if I allowed them to load popup on every page visit but that's overkill.

But how is it possible to have such low bid and still get traffic from FB ? I have tested with a lot of ad sets and when I drop under 0.5 my ad did not get any impressions.

I guess it depends on target. The more you filter your target audience the more it is harder to display to your target audience = more it costs. I personally target only a few countries for range 0.3p (about 0.5cents?) and if i want to target even more (eg platform..age etc) i have to increase the bid slightly. Like i said fb are nice..cheap and real traffic but the bounce rate is too high i guess because of accidental clicks and users then hitting the back button

It's all about targeting and I'll give you a nice easy and practical example.

My site is a news site. Not a viral site, but actual news reporting. So we have articles covering various topics. What I do, is I add each post to my fanpage automatically and then I boost them.

I then turn the boost after a day usually. Based on the boost results, I get rid of the articles not gaining any traction and focus only on the ones where people respond with likes and shares.

Then I fine tune a campaign based around that article, and what I mean by that is say that the article is about Serena Williams.

Here's my target audience:

Serena Williams
Serena Williams fans
Tennis

It's just that simple.

And then I may even go a step further and target race, and in this case I'd target African-Americans since that's Serena Williams core fanbase.

And that's how I've been able to get my clicks low. I narrow down the audience as much as I can.

You have to experiment. There's no cookie cutter settings that I can give you that will work.

Because ultimately it still boils down to your site's content. If people aren't liking your articles enough to share, then you may not get the same results.

This is the reason why some of my writer's articles are getting more play on FB than my articles that I write myself. And this is why I'm breaking even mostly. I need to work more on my articles being the ones that FB ads like so I can rake in more dough. But it's hard to know which articles will get that traction until I boost them. But I'm working on that.

I forgot to add in my previous post as to why I narrow my audience down as small as I can, and that's because it increases click-thru rate. I've noticed the higher the CTR, the lower the CPCs are.

I shoot for a CTR of 5% or higher.

In my example, it was over 10%.

The link clicks and cpc of .01 is what I'm talking about. It actually comes out to less than .01 cent per click if you do the math on what I paid in far right column. I paid $44 for 7,600 clicks off FB to my site. I would have glady kept this running but majority of the clicks were getting one of my writers paid more than I was due to my revenue share model that I previously mentioned. So I pause and start this particular campaign often.

So let's just say that I made $60-$70 from ads on my site with this campaign based on my ad networks that I previously explained I have. I paid FB $44. I'd gladly take the $16-$26 profit (and keep this campaign running and scale up) but then I have to pay my writer as well. See that's my problem. I'm trying to eliminate my writers ONLY when it comes to when I pay for ads to get traffic to their articles. I need to get my RPMs up to $20 and then I will really be winning with this method. I'm still working on my brand and traffic for that to happen and then advertisers will come.

I use to have Adsense but got banned due to one of my writers trying to fleece me by sending fake traffic to my site, that I didn't notice, and they tried to say I owed them a couple thousands of dollars but there was literally no ad revenue coming in that came close to that on their articles for me to pay them the amount they was asking. And then I realized what was going on when Adsense sent me an email saying how my site had invalid traffic and clicks. So I fired this writer with proof of course showing thetraffictrafic that was coming in and how it hurt my site. I'm still fighting with Adsense to this day, trying to get reinstated because Adsense was paying me good around $5 per 1,000 views at times but averaged out to close to $3. If I had Adsense right now, I probably wouldn't care as much about promoting my writers posts through FB because tha would be the lift in income that I would need to make it worth it for me.

I'm working on writing more articles myself so that I pay myself. Because with FB advertising it's hit or miss. It depends on your content. I literally promote every article that gets posted to my fanpage but only a select few get the low numbers you see above and I stop the ads on the remaining articles that don't get the low cpc.

Your clicks(ALL) is so great, even my link CTR is better than you, but my CPM cost is 10 times than you. Can you give me some advice how to get $0.01 Link cpc? Thanks for your help.

I promote links to my site. I don't promote any images. Your numbers look great. My only question is are your posts being shared by people viewing your ad? And also, what kind of content are you promoting? That could be the difference.

I just promote blog and news posts from my site.

10 is the highest. The key I think is to use FB ads to get natural shares and cost goes down.

I'm going to scale up soon with this ad campaign I showed you. It's just that it's tied to one of my writer's accounts. I'm going to have to explain that their cut may be less for this article since I'm putting money behind promoting it.

I want to spend $100 on it for 1 day just to test it out. Right now, I'm spending a maximum of $10.

I may do that next month sometime.

I have also tried FB + adsense with huge loss. I wish I can break even. How did you break even? What is the trick ?

I got lucky with the $8 RPM and this article going viral to be honest. Every time I turn the campaign on, I get low CPCs. EVERY TIME....it's just that I don't want to pay my author or I would leave it on, lol.

If you want me to take a look at your site I will, and see if there's any thing I can recommend for you based on your content. FB targeting always start on the site and what content you're providing.

On a side not, I'm working on getting another Adsense account soon, and should have that again hopefully within a week or two. We'll see. I'm just scared to get banned again, but I haven't had an account now with them for 6 months.

I figured that that's long enough.

I haven't found how to decrease the Negative feedback score. What's your Negative feedback score?

I think the key point is the Post share. I only haven't a little post share. So my clicks(ALL) ≈ Link clicks. Your post share number is really great.

I've never looked at the feedback score. Thanks for pointing this out to me. But mine is high as well in both columns. I know high is a good thing for positive feedback but negative feedback not so much. Idon't understand how positive feedback and negative feedback can both be high at the same time.

I just explained to my author that I'll be paying them through this month but come next month, for this article especially, I will not since I'll be scaling up and putting a lot of marketing muscle behind it. Hoping for the same results on a larger scale come next month. I'll start with $10/day and add $5 per day each week.

Hoping to have an Adsense account by then as well.

Yes. This post should not pay author any more.

Because the more share, the more people free clicks, and the facebook ads calculate these free clicks, so your cpc is so low than me. Hoping you keep report later. Quizzes post is great, but not for me.
