Thinking about replacing Ahrefs with powersuite, Yes or no?

Hi

Lately Ive been trying to save as much as possible in tools, so Ive been thinking in paying more for software to avoiid the killer monthly payments of 100$ from ahrefs, but Im not sure about SEO powersuite. It costs 300 bucks.

Ive used it in the past, trial or cracked versions, and never thought much of it but in every case I couldnt use a lot of features because of trial or crack limitations. To me the link checker, spy something, was very poor, but link detection isnt one of my top priorities, more so with the current ubbersuggest, but I need tools like rank checker, Kw finder, website audit, etc....

So realistically how good is powersuite and should I pay more to save in the long run saying goodbye to ahrefs? apparently SEO powersuite is not just one payment and forget it, there are algo updates that after 6 months you have to pay (no idea how much is that),

Also, you'd be doing me a favor if you list me all the updates powersuite users have to pay

I've been using SEO Powersuite for years, I really like it. Payments for a single license are $30/monthly, for an "Enterprise" license it's $70. Totally worth it.

I use to use it, but found it grinded to a halt on a big crawl. I use to like the white label branding feature.
 
ah, wow, 30 bucks per month on top of the 300? wow....

not sure about that, I was expecting like 5 dollars for an algo update or 10 or something reasonable every 6 months, but every month 30 dollars, thats a third of ahrefs suscription anyway, and I know ahrefs has everything I need

my websites have like 5.000 - 10.000 pages, not huge, but they're big, worrying if the crawl is a problem for the powersuite because Id be doing audits almost every other day
 
It depends on what you mainly use those SEO tools for. If you heavily do backlink analysis and link building check the thread i just created were Mathew Woodward conducted a study of the top 5 backlink checker SEO tools in the market and surprisingly (at least for me) Ahrefs came in the last place.

This is what Ahrefs was known for and they are no longer the biggest backlink database SEO tool in the world. So it´s not about whether or not you should migrate from Ahrefs to SEO PowerSuite is whether you should keep paying for Ahrefs instead of SEMRush for example.

Secondly, I havent used SEO PowerSuite that much but I've heard many great things about it and I believe taking into account price:value there isn´t much difference between the two.

Also, If you still want to use Ahrefs you can always get it through an SEO Group Buy I´ve used it for like a couple of weeks and even though I've had a couple of issues it´s been amazing. I am paying $12 a month for Ahrefs, Majestic, Moz Pro, Woorank and CognitiveSEO. You can still get and use those tools and by SEO PowerSuite and still save a lot of money.

yep, Ive been using ahrefs for 5 years, but I was talking about powersuite

BTw, thanks for your very helpful response Roger, I was wondering that group buy was from this forum? I mean where I can get into those SEO group buys?
 
Why don't you try the method that was leaked it here? Use 5-6 different emails from the same PayPal? I believe you can open as many PayPals as you want.

I thought powersuite was a one-time payment.
 
I personally prefer Ahrefs as I think they have way more links indexed in their database, but SEO powersuite is not a bad tool by any means
 
Ive read that matthew woodward post and almost interpreted it as a sign to switch to powersuite

backlink checking is not a priority in my niche as a lot of top 10 sites have very little to no linkbuilding

Think Im going to cancel ahrefs, just in the first year I'll be saving 720 dollars, which for a small business like mine is quite decent as savings goes.

But if things go awry and eventually need to check backlinks Id like to know more about group buys so I can bulletproof my strategy, so if anyone can tell me if those SEO group buys can be acquired here or elsewhere Id appreciate it coz I havent found them here (granted, Im not good at searching this forum)

Thought too, but if you want to stay up to date with google algos you need to pay an extra 30 US$ per month

those guys from powersuite must really be having excellent benefits, their business model is top notch

oh, thanks, I didnt know about it, but since Im going to need it for several computers and its going to be integral part of my job, I rather pay for it so I can have those updates and support if necessary, which Im afriad it will be, because whenver I used those "trials" I always seem to have technical issues with their software, hopefully because it was cracked most of the times (badly cracked I might add)
 
Actually Ive decided not to buy it. I was going to, but upon closer examination Ive seen that the 300$ version doesnt allow for any white label or any report exporting for clients (you can't even export data, you can only via clipboard), which is crazy. You need to buy the 700$, which is way too much for me, particularly because the backlink analysis is so poor compared to ahrefs. Also everytime Ive tried to use this software in trial is buggy and unstable as hell.

But I cannot go back to ahrefs because I was using a life promotion and thats dead now, so I'm in the look for another tool, particularly one with decent on-page analysis and report generating capabilities for clients, let me know if you guys know of any such tool
