Things all IM'ers do

Thing that bugs me the most about IM is the fact that everything new I see around me walking or driving I think how to profit from online. I shit you not, I was once in the Alps going to a ski resort with some friends, we stopped at a panorama view with the greatest scenery I've seen in a long time. All my friends were in awe and I, well I just mumbled "wish I had my DSLR with me, could take some really profitable pics for a tourism blog"... Kinda sad sometimes... not being able to enjoy some simple pleasures because your brain is in overdrive all the time for the next new method or opportunity.

The thing that bugs me about domaining is the fact that everytime I hear about a new tech/new trend/new niche I check if the category killer domain is taken, if it's not taken, well, it's taken now! If you know what I mean :)

I guess these are professional sicknesses to IM. All jobs have them. Glad I'm not a miner or an asbestos remover.

Absolutely right man. Most of the times, great moments get killed because of this money seeking mentality. Being IMer's our brains always keep searching for the next big thing.

Ah crap, I find myself in more than half of your lists. Well, at least I'm not on W130SN's list.

- Get a new idea with minimal work but ridiculous ROI
- Think about the ethical implications
- Realize that you couldn't live with doing it
- repeat

Seriously, I have that atleast 3-4 times a week. If I wouldn't care about ethics (darn buddhism changed me :<), I could do so much evil....^^

warm regards,

You're not poor enough :). If you were, then this wouldn't happen :)

If you are new, spend hours and hours researching what all the thousands of acronyms on this forum stand for! :0)

One you get into IM, you pretty much think about making money in any and every way possible. Whether it's online or offline. IM is more of a state of mind IMO. Our job titles should just be called "addicted to making money".

-Thinking about what car to buy before actually making money..

1) Wonder why i'm posting here in this thread instead of working...

Buy lot's of domain names. Never uses 50% of them.

So true :D

Here is mine: Check BWH every other hour to see if that one and only fantastic method that finally will make me rich is posted yet.
