Thanks for replies everyone,
I originally poste my website and niche because I completely gave up and didn't really care if i would get even Stonger competition.
But after readying a few of your posts I decided to remove the site URL.

I am going continue tring and experimenting. Possibly I can add more money into the project.

Sadly today you guys caused the largest spike in traffic my site has ever seen!
I'll read all the helpful posts tommorow. Time to sleep for now.

I am planing on buying 3 more URLs with keywords specific to Sleep. Then I'll find a good article writing service somewhere on these forums an have them write 3 unique articles to point toward my main site.

Hopefully article writers arnt costly. Cuz my paychecks from KFC seen to be getting smaller each week:/

Defo should target more than one keyword with scrapebox, i usually optimize homepage for main keyword and use scrapebox to build backlinks using that keyword. Then i optimize second page with second keyword and use scrapebox to build backlinks using that second keyword...and so on... and so on...

This guarantees a much wider net on the search engines to collect nice unique traffic.

Targetting one keyword is like having one fishing line in an ocean of fish!!

You need a net, a very big net!!

Perfect! I highly Appreciate your Interest in IM. You've got time, tools, confidence and picked up great niche too! Now all you need is to learn how to use it properly. Don't simply spam your links with scrapebox as your domain or email or ip will be blocked by akismet which makes it even worse as getting out of akismet ban is not that easy. Your link won't stick on any blogs, you won't get backlinks,etc... I would recommend you to read this book which tells you how to properly SEO and rank your site.

So much great advice already in this post and so much support, I am an oldie newbie and sometimes find it difficult to learn some of this stuff after 30 years in HR Law, however I NEED to keep going and I need to make some money and this Forum is best help anyone can have.

Today I have made a post and it may be a stupid question to some but to me it will help so ask questions and read info but most of all pick a method and plan it out.

I used a downloaded Michele Macpherson course from here to help with FOCUS as if you dont you will just go round and round.

Since I was learning as well I only started with one domain and did not purchase any software and did quite better than you.
Personally I will wait before I start purchasing software until I have at least 3 websites up and running

I would like to say, i am also a beginner i just started IM over the summer of 2010 and i had multiple sites up and running by fall then i obtained a maxbounty account, right now i need to mention that i am hosting my webserver MYSELF and i found a company that would give me website names of my choice upon availability and between october and december i made a measily $3.60 and not spend any money out of pocket, when i saw that my mouth dropped and i felt i was ahead of the game and my motivation kept going if not increased. So for not buying a hosting service and not paying for any website names per month i think im in pretty good shape. < true story

The obviouse keywords i was aiming for was "How to fall asleep".

And..other than different forms of medication, you have zero chance of getting any decent affiliate products for that..
Or..the adsense would be paying peanuts
And..it gets worse...About 2,550,000 results for competitors using "keyword" under exact match search.
Instead of wasting more money, take a deep breath, sign up for adwords account so that you can get loads of search results in adwords suggestion tool.
Get a trial copy of market samurai and use your adwords account inside it.
Find some long tail subjects/themes etc with low comp.. which have a product and go from there.

ALL of the posts are stolen from other sites.

Yep...duplicate content in a crowded niche with no products..I am baffled why you did not become rich overnight.

keywords specific to Sleep.

For %$#@ sake...get over the sleep obsession..find a niche that has some form of product or service..get market samurai and use blogs/hubs etc to learn..
