I'm not hating the player, I'm trying to understand the game...
If you've ever Googled "Best [xyx]" and it happens to be powered by batteries, you've likely stumbled on Wired.
Sure, the company is big, but that's not uncommon. Why do these guys absolutely dominate when it comes to Google ranks?
They must make more from affiliates then their pretentious online reporting.
I'd like to think out loud. Is it just that they do it all right and have snow-balled into a great position?
(btw, they hate Google's guts as they always say "muh election! Hurr Durr, Russia hacking" I do NOT believe there is any under the table negotiations. Not accusing them of anything.)
