My website is being bombarded with backlinks from thousands of different websites. All sites follow the same url pattern that ends with "-k.html", there are already more than 4 thousand links sent to Google's disavow. Furthermore, they mixed my website's keyword with several meaningless words. And all the links point to images on my website. But when I enter the website that links to mine, I don't see my link, it simply doesn't appear in the source code or anywhere else.

Does anyone know what kind of strategy this is? Why does Semrush detect several links of this type to my website every day, but when I enter them I don't see my link?

My website has gone down a lot since this started

If you change the name/url of the images won't that make the links drop off?

That's your competition trying to destroy your rankings by doing negative SEO to you. The solution is to disavow all the links and also rename the resources that they linked.

If the links don't appear or are not live on the sites, I don't think you should worry much.

Google won't pick them up as they've already dropped off.

Interesting, I'm investigating here, it makes perfect sense. Thank you for your help
just press right click on the mouse and click inspect or another command where you can see full html source code. It should be somewhere there, usually in the footer

Oh sorry, I had understood that the link could be injected in some other way into the source code, so that only search engines can identify it.

I've already done what you said before, and the source code doesn't include the link either.

Submit files of links you want to Disavow from Google using tools like semrush, ahref, etc. Make sure that file is a .txt file

These '-k.html' pages have been discussed a lot on BHW previously:

It's not a targeted attack, your site is just ranking for whatever keywords their content generators are currently churning out pages about. Any site that ranks for anything remotely competitive will pick these types of links up, like dogshit on your shoe.

Guaranteed that dog is on bhw haha

I found this text to be a good explanation of my case:

This is a tool. Something is probably targeting your website

Keep on disavowing those links, and maybe beef up your own link-building with some quality, relevant backlinks to counteract the spammy ones. Tight up your site's security and keep an eye on your backlink profile with Ahrefs or SEMrush.
