They people are good In my experience, they wont refund you i think but will give you equal amount of credit to purchase another theme. All you gotta do is to Email them and give a genuine Reason.

Pretty dumb policy if you ask me. If a developer is throwing up junk and they sell it they should pull the money from the sellers account and refund you. If you are a scammer they could easily create an algo to prevent future refunds, not hard really.

Sounds ridiculous but throw up a ripoffreport or something, sucks for Themeforest but that policy is pointless. Sellers don't drive the business, customers do.

I've been through their dev review process. You can't really throw up junk there.

OP, did you at least try to work with the dev? They are pretty good at trying to fix things.

I've never tried to get a refund. I've had a buggy theme and the dev helped me out.

eta god fucking dammit.... necro thread got me. Thanks, jackass.

It's digital media. You cannot get a refund from them (as per their TOS) if you have clicked the download button. Also this sucks for some people, I imagine it drastically cut's down on fraud.

I am in a dispute right now, a theme with a somewhat misleading description (works with WP Easycart - not really) and support that is severely lacking, a theme of which I will refrain from naming, but whose initials are WV. First theme I have actually purchased, thought I would be able to get the site done quickly but it's dragging on for months now. In my experience you can get really good themes and support off of wordpress for free if you do your research. If I am able to get a refund I'm giving it to the developers of the theme I switched to, which is by far the best one I've used so far. #woovoga #wpdance

I got refund, it was the one and only time when i have requested it and i got it.

I obviously didnt download the theme, and even then its on sole discretion of the theme author to give this refund or reject it.

ThemeForest is like a huge pool of beta testers.. Authors upload shit and start making updates after people run into problems, this happens way too often but is a comfortable way for them.
