Theme Pages vs Personal Brands

If I had to start today, I'd build a personal brand. It's easier to earn trust, and that trust usually translates into better engagement and higher-paying opportunities.

I see all big influencers on FB, IG, IN, who making sales and get new followers every month , have personal brand their name (or nickname), their face as profile photo on that theme page, this will raise engagement and beats up theme pages. Theme pages are more common use for big companies, not single entrepreneur creators.

With big G which invented EEAT, which causes deep waves everywhere, big G and social platforms too , looking at you. You posting 30-40 news a day or be in a health niche without have academic qualification? They see that and they know if you are an single entrepreneur creator or a news magazine who has a stuff of employees. I hope it makes click for you.....

Happy Friday !

I think personal brands have a bigger advantage for long term growth because people connect with individuals more easily That said theme pages can still work well in the right niche especially if the content is consistent and gives followers a clear reason to keep coming back

Yeah @Darkettino has the right idea but everyone saying theme pages are dead is missing the scale aspect. You can't easily outsource your own face to VAs or easily flip a personal brand on Flippa when you get bored of it. Theme pages still print if you actually build an email list off them instead of just relying on cheap shoutouts. I run a few faceless ones in the finance niche and they still convert crazy well if the lead magnet is tight. Just don't spam low quality reels and expect 2020 results... it takes more effort now but the automation potential is still way higher than a personal brand.

A theme page is a distribution channel that survives being handed to someone else, which is why they are sellable and why they scale through repetition and volume. A personal brand does not transfer, which is exactly what makes the trust everyone is describing real, and also what makes it a job rather than an asset. Neither of those is better in the abstract, they answer different questions. If you want something you can eventually sell, run theme pages and accept lower engagement per follower. If you want higher conversion and pricing power on what you personally sell, build the personal brand and accept that its value is tied to you.
