Hey everyone,

Just thought I would show you an email I got via my site's form promoting SEO services... I have to say this is how you DON'T promote your services, because if people get as annoyed and pissed off as I do, they will spambox your email address and in extreme cases may also send complaints to the website/email hosting provider and/or domain registrar and have their services cancelled.

However if you must need to promote your services in this way, whatever you do, DO NOT make your email as terrible as this:

Code:

I just chucked a blog together to put these emails on just for fun (it is already caching in Google so these spammers reputations are starting to be degraded).

The awkward moment when your blog gets hit by a few scrapebox blasts!

What goes around comes around I guess... Somebody giving you a taste of your own medicine? ;)

Haha, thanks for that, it was a good read. It is amazing to me how many people still think any old SEO (whether it is black hat or white) will work for them as though SEO has a mind and a life all of its own. It's a pretty good lesson in the fact that people who really know how SEO works are the ones who will have consistent success with it. Some people unfortunately don't realise that just using cookie cutter SEO tricks - especially ones as bad as this - won't rocket your site onto the first page of Google rankings. It would be kinder to just ban them from the internet, but that's probably a violation of something.
