The wall street journal exposed

I dont know if any of you guys watch youtube or know about the whole WSJ thing, but if not i'll break it down to a really simple explanation/timeline (do your own research im just pulling this from memory)

  1. The WSJ attacks PewDiePie calling him a nazi and cherry picks clips out of context from his videos
  2. WSJ sends this to pewdiepies network (makers studio owned by disney)
  3. Pewdiepie gets his YT Red show canceled and removed from his network
  4. WSJ then sends screenshots of big brands ads on racist videos to the big brands
  5. Big brands (Coke, Pepsi, ect.) pull ads from youtube
  6. Youtube estimated to lose $750 million dollars because of it
  7. Every creator who monetizes videos lose ad revenue because of it
So basically because of the WSJ people who make videos on YT for a living are making way less money which is pretty much destroying the platform and creators might have to quit

Today H3H3 uploaded some pretty good evidence that the Jack Nicas faked the screenshots of racist ads and basically exposed the WSJ

Video is temporary on private

I have been watching youtube videos and following creators for over 7 years now and this is the worst I have ever seen it. Youtube could be fucked if they don't do something about it.

What do you guys think about the whole situation because im pretty mad

I hope this post doesn't go against the politics and religion rule. Its not really meant to be some kind of debate

perfect example of why we should all build multiple streams of income or not depend solely on IM unless you're that rich... Things like this happen

Some of you should seriously write fiction and sell it on Amazon.

Edit: I don't feel sorry for PDP or YT. PDP shouldn't have said whatever he said, even if he was joking. And YT needs to gtfo.

$750 million isn't even a real amount of money for them. Come back when it's like $75 billion or they're about to go bankrupt. Then I'll stop yawning.
 
Working for Disney, Pewds def pushed the envelope. They are the employee nazis of North America and want complete control.

Well they are assholes, but the point is he was humble enough to apologize. He actually gained trust and credibility, while the WSJ is losing theirs.

I never read their stuff anyway, but it looks like a growing number of people are sick of their crap.

The OP still remains suspect, as that is conspiracy-level reasoning right there. But I won't deny the WSJ is run by a bunch of greedy, amoral mofos. Look at the name of their publication. That says it all.

I mean honestly I haven't done a ton of research. I just watch a bunch of youtube videos. (so I guess I am biased here)
It all started when the WSJ started calling pewdiepie a nazi supporter (which is definitely ridiculous) Here was his response which explains a lot about that


I bet you could find a bunch of information from just searching google or watching other big youtubers talk about the whole situation
