If you were getting advice from him and he was helping you out, be glad he was banned. Guy was a keyboard jockey at best.
Seen lots of guys like him here over the years - excessive posting of articles and tips from other SEO’s to get lots of likes and build credibility, so he can eventually call himself a guru and sell you something.
Look at this thread where me and some others called him out on posting a strategy he used for “his client”, when it was actually just a copypaste of a blog post he’d found somewhere:

Yeah I think you went in on him pretty hard in that thread for someone that's been here a decade and got 50 likes. The guy had 8K likes, whether you like his post or not - he's right.. someone else might have found value from that and unless it's personally negatively affecting you why shit on him so hard?
Just saying, if he's broken rules then fair enough, and it's important to keep standards same for everyone, no matter who they are. But you bagging him sharing info is a bit rich - communities are built on sharing info, even if he didn't create every part of it himself. He doesn't come across as trying to be a "big dog of IM" or whatever you said before too. Guy clearly just likes to help people out.

I got about 50% through.. I'll read the rest now. And yeah, pretending you create something you don't is not cool. But the guy's obviously also had a pretty damn positive effect on the community over the years by the looks of it.

I was checking the list of thanks in another thread and saw his username in red. I thought 'oh so the dude has become a mod'. Lol can we have a different color for banned users? When I first joined BHW I was often confused because of this and thought that some people were very prestigious because they had lots of thanks from red accounts. It turned out those accounts was all banned.
