Can't believe nobody asked this yet, unless i missed it, but what is your ideal article length (characters) and how many images? Do you use main keyword on every image alt?
Sorry, the only thing I could tell you is to build a reputation for your brand in your area first. That's what one of my clients did and he inadvertently began ranking for his brand.Do you know ways or services to increase the number of searches for brand and to emulate user hapiness? I guess they could use only data from chrome?
Yes, usually from Adsense or the occasional person who contacts me about any of my services (the latter is more profitable). My clients' websites are the ones making the most money through people contacting them about their services.Do you make money with these low competition keywords you have ranked?
Everything you said was great, actually.Far as word length goes, maybe 400+. As long as article is well written and is not gibberish, it will do fine. That said though, variate the amount of words your articles has. For example, make one 545 words, another 676 words , and another 832 words so you don't leave a foot print.
Don't ever have a site filled with 70 articles with exactly 500 word .... it looks suspicious and awkward.
As far as images goes, have enough to break up the content and make it easier for the reader to follow along. For example, 1 image for a 700+ word article isn't going to be enough. If you do, 3-5 images it will make it easier for the reader and it will add value to your content.
For image alt, I would add a variation of the main keyword. Example, if your main keyword is "car rims", instead of using "car rims" as your alt, use "car rims brand" or "cheap car rims". Obviously, as long as the alt keyword is related. The main goal is to use a variation of the main KW.
This is Zwielicht's guide though, he might do things differently, but this is what works for me and what I've read from other here as well. Zwielicht, if you need to correct me in any area, please do.. I am always willing to learn.
Exactly. Due to this guide really just being an on-page SEO guide, you can make it more effective by combining it with your favourite social media or content marketing strategy. Hell, there was even one user in this thread who I told to combine this guide with any backlink method he has, despite the point of this thread being about ranking without actively building backlinks.Getting back to SEO in a very long time and this was a good read as i'm trying to do more white hat than black hat on my personal company. Always try to combine social aspect into your website somehow to make site "alive" for google so you dont need to build any links as people might be tempted to share your information/portfolio material to wider audience thus making snowball roll on its own.
I've never operated a news site, so I can't really help you there. In general, just include the keyword in your title, body text, and images. While there's more you can do, those are the 3 main areas I include my keywords in.There are few things that make me feel that I am lost whenever I feel I understood something. For now, I have learnt how to make onpage SEO using Yoast SEO plugin. I just see the comments and make changes. The only thing that I don't fix is that the focus work doesn't appear in the meta tags. I read somewhere here that meta tags aren't important ,so I just forget about it .
Lets say that I started a site and found my main keyword that scored 30 in difficulty ,and few other keywords that are relavant and scored 30-50 in difficulty. Do I put this main keyword in the site description ? Is that how I point to the home page or I should do somehting else?
What about the other keywords ? Do I make them the focus keyword for the categories and pages or what?
Suppose that my posts are daily news posts, so do I also have to make onpage SEO and take care of the density of the focus words?
In general, my question is on how do I put my keywords in my site.

There are a few parts of Yoast's suggestions that I ignore as well.
If you have related keywords, you can use them as LSI keywords throughout your articles or use them as your main keyword in separate articles.
- No meta description - I've never had an issue with not placing the keyword in the meta description.
- The focus keyword doesn't appear in the first paragraph of the copy - This feature appears broken at times as even when I do include the keyword in the first paragraph, this error still appears.
- No outbound links appear in this page - This depends on the articles I write.
- Flesch Reading Ease test - This depends on your target audience.
I have no issue with it and I do it when it's necessary. This is really just an on-page SEO guide, so combine it with your best backlink building tactics and you'll probably see better results much faster. What's your view on building backlinks as the next step when you've taken care of all the things you mentioned above?
