The Ultimate Authority Journey to 3000/Month.

I have started a journey a month ago but I have decided to focus only on my authority site.

I will update this daily with stats and revenue and would appreciate input on how to improve. My website is already 27 days old so I'll start by day 27.

The homepage targets a general keyword which I do not care if it ranks for it or not, the actual keywords I am targetting are within the posts. All low traffic/competition keywords 800-5000 MS (most are 1-2k). I have manually searched for each keyword, defined the competition on each and have been writing articles based on competition from the easiest to the hardest, once all my "easy" keywords are done I'll move onto the "medium" difficulty and only then to the hardest. I have also split the keywords into categories, high CPC keywords will be monetized ONLY with adsense, while keywords with low/no CPC will be monetized with CPA.


Day27:

What I have done Today:

-Nothing. (Been busy and very tired lately and not exactly feeling depressed butkind of feeling like shit.)

- WP No Category Base (Removes /category/postname so its only homepage/postname to make it look more professional and shorter url).

Future Plans:

- Fix contact us page, not receiving emails for some reason.
- Make 250-400 word article for each category so I can get them to rank for a couple keywords too and fight the duplicate content. (since it will have posts that are already on homepage + it shows excerts from the post itself).
- NoIndex privacy policy page.
- Keep writing articles.
- Buy backlinks once I reach 100 articles.

Thats a well laid out plan. You should start ranking soon because of your content. I have seen quite a few websites which have very low backlinks but have content and hence end up ranking for a few keywords(rarely in the top 3 though) . But its still helpful.

You could even link your author id to a google plus profile too. Just my 2 cents.!!

Yea I hope it starts ranking, I've had a keyword in #65 and one in #80 a week ago, however the #65 dissapeared from the top 100 and the other one has moved down to #95-#99. Not sure why no keywords are ranking yet even though I have decent content and good onsite SEO.

Been using Quirk SearchStatus to see keyword density and have tweaked 2 days ago all my pages because some has 2-3.5% keyword density and have reduced the keyword density from all the 30 posts down to 1-1.8%.

Hope it starts moving soon since seeing no ranks on 30 posts its a little demoralizing even though some keywords literally have no competition.


Someone also tried neg SEO my website by sending almost 30k google+ which thanks to Nullfo telling me, it can penalize me, thank god he sent to a internal page and I have changed the name of the page so he has sent the google + to a 404 error which is no indexed hope it doesn't matter and doesn't get me penalized

Do you have plan to monitize your site with CPA or Adsense?

Pretty normal for a new large site... you are doing just fine in the SERPs.

Keep building it as you have been and be sure to keep an eye on the KW density as you have been.

High CPC keywords adsense and low cpc/no cpc CPA.

Day 28:

What I have done Today:

- Made an article about a new niche. 600 Words.
- Added about 7 or 8 posts to my keyword ranking tracker site


Authority Site:

- .Net domains and brandable domain name related to the niches I target.
- 31 Handwritten 100% Unique Articles (+1)
- SEO, Social, Misc Plugins.


Future Plans:

- Fix contact us page, not receiving emails for some reason.

A keyword just got into top 100 again (#91). The other one keeps moving between 90-99 currently #98.

Day 29:

What I have done Today:

- Made an article about a new niche. 500 Words.
- Finished my keyword research project that I had started a couple weeks ago (had to research 30 keywords).

- .Net domains and brandable domain name related to the niches I target.
- 32 Handwritten 100% Unique Articles (+1)
- SEO, Social, Misc Plugins.


Future Plans:

- Fix contact us page, not receiving emails for some reason.

- Eduted the php files to remove the author name from posts.
- Edited the php files to show categories description in the website.

Day 31:

What I have done Today:

- Posted 4 highly spun 100% copyscape passed articles into different article directory's with a link back to the website.
- Bought 10 posts on a PBN on a new service on BHW to review it has the price was reduced to 50% due to review copy.

The keyword that was in #74 has jumped to #98 and a new keyword jumped all the way to #49!

Well Now you have known that making authority site is expensive...i also tried to do same but i ran out of budget

I do most of the work manually, I'll do the backlinks manually too, not very HQ backlinks but until I start making 10$+ daily it should be fine after that I'll invest hard into link building

Day 32:

What I have done Today:

- Posted a new article I had received as review copy from almost a month ago, the keyword was already done so I just researched for a very small traffic keyword (350 MS) and posted it targetting that keyword.
- Applied to receive a couple free services for people who help the community on BassTrackerBoats thread , hopefully I inspire you, the readers to start your own authority website

The keyword that was in #98 has fallen out of top 100 and the keyword that jumped to #49 yesterday, jumped back down to #51!

Just some google dance, hopefully after these 10 PBN posts I'll rank for a few keywords.
